A few screws were off and did not screw in properly, also, bed frame started to rust within 2 weeks of putting it together; however, it is sturdy and seems that it will last contrary to the cosmetic deficiency.

I got this about a month after my last chemo treatment and I am not a physically active person, but I was able to put this thing together mysel It was very heavy and I took the advice in the reviews and assembled in the room where it would be used. I bought a 6 inch futon and only use it to sleep on but I would recommend a 4 or 5 inch futon because it is too hard to get back to a seating position with the 6 inch. The top bunk is definitely too close to the ceiling for an adult to sleep. The ladders hurt my feet when I tried to climb up to the top bunk so I bought a 6 foot ladder to use. Here is the biggest problem, it wobbles and the bolts that hold the entire bed together are coming loos I had to re/tighten every bolt on all corners of the top and botto I am going to contact the company to find out what I can do to make sure it doesnt fall apart Unless someone has an idea of how to keep it secure, I dont recommend this item and especially not for kid
A thousand pieces to assemble, but the end product is worth the effort. The box it came in was torn up badly in transit so I was concerned about some of the pieces being damaged and scratched, but surprisingly there was no damage to speak of. The folding mechanism for the bottom works great. I would recommend a 6 futon for the bottom, the 8 I got is a little unwieldy.
its perfect, it arrived sooner then the anticipated date, although it took a little while to put together it was not difficult to do. just keep in mind it might take longer if one is building alone. other then that my child loves it and cant wait to sleep on it. Thanks
Not too bad to put together. Mom of 6 put this together in 2 hours or so. Looks overwhelming until you dive in. Sturdy, heavy/duty, not too tall and toddlers love it.
