Great sturdy well built be Easily put togethe

Highly recommend this be The box is heavy, as all the reviews state. So if you can have two people carry it in, that is best. Directions were clear and understood, just do make sure you pay attention to where they tell you the holes should be. The bed is very sturd No wobbling, squeaking or shakingmake sure to tighten all the bolts AFTER the bed is fully assembled, and pay attention when putting the little caps on behind the support bars, they snap right on if put in correctly, if not, they bend. (you will want the flat side against the bar, not the side that has a gap between the two lips and the edge of the cap). My husband and I put it together and it took us about 1hr. We did reverse the ladders so that the two steps that are very close together were on the top, not the bottom so there was not such a big gap to step down off the top. Very very happy with this purchas

    Dents and Bends

When I received the bed, the box was half tore open. I put all of it together and the top front and back pieces were bent (badly bent) with dents in the metal as well as rust spots. The bed is sturdy and my daughter seems to love it.

Did not las Throwing away after 1 yea

UPDATE/ We have now owned this bed for 1.5 years, and today we disassembled it in preparation to haul it to the dump. The metal bars on the lower section completely bent into a big curve. My son who slept on the lower full size bed weighs 70 lb This should not have happened. Its not like it has been jumped on either, there is a twin bed above it and no room to jum This was an inexpensive bed, especially when you consider that its actually two beds, but if you have to spend 150 a year when they break or bend, then its not inexpensive afterall. We have already purchased solid wood beds to replace this pile of metal we are left with. Im attaching a photo of the bend, however, its much more pronounced and severe in person. I now take back everything I said in the review below Our boys have been using this bunkbed for over a month now, and so far so goo We previously had a wooden bunk bed that did not hold up. This one seems much sturdier and the powder coated finish has yet to get any scratches or marks on it. (Which is a miracle considering the heavy use and abuse it gets from our boy) We ran into a few issues while assembling/ a few pieces ended up being screwed on backwards due to slightly unclear instructions. We had to re/do them once we realized screw holes were not where they needed to be when we got further down the list during assembly. Also, you use one small (provided) Allen key for every screw. It was very time consuming, and we wished we wouldve had the proper drill bit needed instead of having to use the Allen key. Aside from the slow, somewhat frustrating assembly, we are extremely pleased with this bunk bed. Id definitely recommend it for anyone that needs a solid, sturdy, almost indestructible bed. (Especially for rough tough boys that seem to break/ destroy everything they touc)

    Worth every penny.

A wonderful bunk bed. Sturdy and well designed. Lots of small parts and rather time consuming to assemble, but well worth it.

Exactly as described. My son cheerfully chooses between the top and bottom bunk depending on his mood when he goes to bed. This is metal, so is well built and is helpful, but not necessary, to have two people to put together.

    Great deal and sturd

This bed is for our two sons (currently ages 8 and 2). It seems sturdy. The assembly was fairly easy. Wonderful and affordable bunk be

    Flimsy

Supporting metal ribs starts bending after a few nights. Quality looks flimsy compare to other bed frames

Great bed that is very well designed and very sturdy.

This was an aming find for our boys. I was a little concerned about bunk beds at first do to the fact that our boys are active and love to jump and wrestle. This bed is very sturdy as well as easy to assemble. One of the aspects of this bed that I found very well tought out and designed are the slats and their locking system. Postioning of the ladders is the only part of this bed that I would change.

    like all the pieces

Came missing all 22 slats that fit the bottom bed. Im still waiting for replacement parts but have some doubts about getting them. Dorel Home customer service is very impersonal / no person to speak with only online communication. Do yourself a favor and spend more so you get more.like all the pieces.
