My old desk chair broke last week after about 2 years of use. I ordered this one from and it arrived yesterday (delivery was delayed by 3 days without explanation) The chair was not super difficult to assemble but also not easy. Putting the last piece in required me having my son help as it definitely took more than 2 hands to get the 2 pieces to line up.
I am tall (511) and I work very long hours at my desk for work and also sit at my desk for my hobby of writing fiction. This chair is good for me as it sits higher than my last chair did, I appreciate this as I am taller than many people. It is wide set, meaning the arms are further apart than my old chair which might bother some people but I like that it means I do not always have to sit in one position when Im sitting here for a long time. I also appreciate the ability to rotate the arms up and out of the way as this means I can push the chair more fully under the desk when Im not using it.
The back is not as high as my old chair was which is a bit of a negative for me, I specifically ordered a high back chair and this is several inches shorter than my old chair. The back comes just above my shoulders by an inch or two, but I cannot lean my head back comfortably.
Also, it is not a leather chair as the description says. Its bonded leather which means it is possible for the leather to wear off of the chair as others have stated. I had wanted to order the cream but Im glad I ordered dark brown instead now that i know its not a fully leather chair.
The base is heavy, the wheels roll nicely and its a very nice and solid chair. The box weighed about 50 lbs which shows how heavy duty the chair is. Im hopeful this will help the chair last a long time.

Many of the other bad reviews seem a bit weird to me as this chair is exactly as ordered.

Chair is exactly how described. Two issues I do have though. One being the lack of attention to detail when manufacturers drilled holes for arm rests. Two were scratched but barely noticeable, but noticeable to say the least. The grey paint job to a couple hundred dollar chair could be better. Otherwise, the leather material and sturdiness is superb. Im a heavy dude and it holds my weight without a challenge. The steel is high grade and it looks as if it were built to last, not a flimsy chair at all. My second issue was the interior back brace that needed to be pulled out and held to attach to the bottom control mechanism. It was VERY difficult to hold in place as I used the knob screw to assemble. Otherwise, assembly went well as long as the screws were properly aligned. Twice, I had a little difficulty with the screw alignment. I would certainly consider purchasing again and Im pleased with its durability.
there is a part in the directions when attaching the back to the bottom where it says dont tighten the bolts all the way. Im assuming thats where a lot of people are running into issues. went together like butta and beats out my $10 surplus chair.
The chair we received had some kind of internal damage. I really liked the quality of the chair and the comfort but something was wrong with the back support mechanism or the base connection when leaning back, I never could pinpoint the issue. The chair would make a terrible popping sound like a bolt or weld would eventually break. I checked everything but could not eliminate the problem. I called customer service and explained the issue. The rep at was great. After troubleshooting a few potential culprits none of them worked and I still had the same, very loud popping noise. The rep replaced the chair. I have been using the replacement for a few days and whatever the issue was with the first chair can not be found in the replacement. These are great chairs. Like everything in life, sometimes you get a bad apple, but what makes the difference is how the company stands behind their products when there is a problem. gets 5 stars across the board on this one.

Great chair, awful assembly
Ok the chair itself is amazing once you get it together. But putting it together is awful. The arms especially are difficult to get to line up.
