    Excellent umbrella and service

Great umbrella and customer service. Im amed that some get upset when a stand isnt included when the listing clearly states stand NOT INCLUDED. I guess some people just look at pictures and cant be bothered with text. In any case, bought the stand (and a machine tool dolly to allow moving it), filled it with 100 lbs of sand and have had no issues with wind. I have another 100 lbs but havent need it it as its very stable. Customer service is first rate. One of the spring tips came loose due to shipping but I wrote them and they sent not 1, but 2 within days. Couldnt ask for more.

    beautiful and cost effective

after looking at many more expensive models of cantilever umbrellas with wheels we landed on this, along with the wheeled base. It is very attractive, easy to set up, and very sturdy. The wheeled base (sold separately) is simple to use with an elegant design to lower the wheels and thus easy to move. Compared to other more expensive brands it doesnt tilt side to side, but this is not a big drawback since it can rotate and the base allows movement of the whole umbrella to follow the sun.

    Good value

It may seem pricey but this is a large well constructed outdoor umbrella that fit our needs perfectly.

    Perfect for my patio

I bought this umbrella for shade on my South Florida, south facing patio. I could not install a retractable awning and after easily erecting my 12 umbrella it did just what I wanted to accomplish for 1/10 the price of an awning. With bumpers and bungies (so it has some give and flexibility) installed on ends of the outer canopy ribs, where they overlap my roofs gutter (which I am sure voids the warranty) it is very sturdy and is easily retractable should the weather dictate. I will add that with out the corners secured it does move a bit in light gusts. With it overlapping my roof it acts more as an awning than an umbrella so we can sit outside under the over sized canopy and enjoy an afternoon or evening shower. Speaking of warrantee my umbrella arrived with one slight bend in a canopy stay which was more cosmetic than structural. They company happily and quickly shipped me a replacement part which appears easily replicable at my leisure. When considering this product I was concerned it would be to big but It is not overpowering and provides a large shaded and breezy area for me and my paramour (laugh) to enjoy. The tilt of the umbrella is adjustable to many fixed points and provides the exact angle I need to accommodate the close quarters with my roof. But if needed I am sure I could easily drill an additional hole in the vertical post for more flexible adjustment. I purchased the water filled base which is not to cumbersome but once I am sure of the exact locating I will install the inground support for a cleaner finish.

Nice umbrella but expensive after paying 150 for base thats not included

Setup was easy. Took about 30 minutes by myself including filling base with sand. NOTE: base not included with umbrella, which turns this into an expensive purchase. I wish I had help to install umbrella into base but still was manageable for one person. 10ft umbrella is very large and easy to maneuver. Seems like good quality. It better last a long time for this price. Overall rating is 4 stars but only giving 3 stars for value.

    Good product be careful assembling

Im only giving this item a 3 star for now till I see if customer service fixes a damaged part. That said, this item has really transformed our outdoor area. Love it. Seems to be very sturdy and well built. The second canopy had a small hole in it, and was missing a bolt, so hopefully they will fix it for us. Word of caution, this product definitely requires 2 people. My wife was injured badly from a crush point with this product as you can see in the pics. The base I dont believe is correct or they need to lengthen the attach point as you see in the pic that the umbrella ribs sit on the base when closed. These are what injured my wife as we were slipping the umbrella shaft over the support shaft that attaches to the base. The main shaft hung up on the trim piece that covers the hole on the base. See pic. We thought it was set my wife was making an adjustment when it broke loose and dropped and one of the ribs pinned her hand to the base causing a severe hematoma. Fortunately it didnt hit bone as it would definitely have broken them. She is doing better but it was scary. Be careful and make sure the umbrella is seated all the way. Again, seems like a very good product and throws plenty of shade. When the issue with the canopy is taken care of I will rate this a 5 star.

    Beaware of the height

My place is pretty windy. It holds up fine 70 of the time. When the wind is strong, the umbrella still swing left and right. In case you wonder, there is no 360 rotation for this square umbrella. The biggest problem of this umbrella is the height. First, it tilts downwards from the side of the base to the other end. The shortest height is on the edge of the umbrella which is around 6ft. Once you stepped inside towards the center, it gradually trend higher, but still under 7ft. To people who are tall, it is not comfortable. It is relatively easy to put together if you are strong enough to lift the umbrella. Otherwise, two people is better for the job. If you buy this with the base, it is 1k. It is overpriced to me given the height issue. If the total package is 600 to 700, I think it is fair. Try to see if there is a better choice before you go with this one. We had no choice because of the side requirement in our home.

    Shade where you need it.

Its a well made umbrella. I opted to go with the inground base. Its unobtrusive but of course it cant be repositioned. I like the features in that it can be rotated 360 degrees as well as tilted, The cover can be easily installed and removed with the included collapsible rod. I followed another reviewers suggestion to secure the base with concrete, but Im not sure that was necessary.
