The chair is large and sits quite high. Im 61 and my feet tough the floor comfortably with the chair on the lowest setting--essentially not using the pump feature at all. And a little bonus, the chair is beautiful in my office.
My initial impression of this chair is that it is of high quality and feels quite solid. The seating surface is firm but comfortable. The leather is exactly what I expected from bonded leather. Its not as soft as top grain and I dont expect it to break in the same as top grain. At least its real leather. Assembling this chair is fairly straight forward and I did it in about 20 minutes. The product is well packaged and if the shipping carrier doesnt completely mistreat it the chair should arrive in fine shape. I specifically didnt want a metal looking chair and this chair with its dark stained hard wood for the arm rests and chair base fit the bill perfectly.
Im 511 and 225lbs and the chair is the perfect height at its lowest level meaning it will definitely be adequate for someone taller.
As others have mentioned the lumbar support adjustment is almost unnoticeable. It does do something, just not much.
Careful, not for average sized people.
I purchased this because I read on the review of the regular sized one, that it didnt support their head. They said they were 510. Well this one doesnt support ones head either, this type of chair isnt designed for that.
Im 510 and this chair is the wrong shape for me. My legs dont each the floor, the arm rests are too far away from my arms.
This chair is very comfortable and I am 6 4 tall and near its weight capacity. So far after a day of use It doesnt feel at all wobbly and no creaks or noises. The chair arrived quickly (I 2-day shipped it Sunday and got it on Tuesday noon). It arrived without any damage or missing pieces.
It does rock / recline and one of the pull bars will lock it in that position. The other pull bar raises and lowers it.
It is a leather chair, so sitting on this with bare back/leg skin will stick as usual.
As for putting it together, I would suggest a 2nd person. The real trick is attaching the back to the seat. It requires you to put the back upside down against your stomach and then pull the seat with both hands back into the L-bar to align the bolt holes. At this point you will either need to hold this heavy awkward load with one-hand to put in the bolts OR have a 2nd person do it.
Also, very important.. when attaching the back to the seat, I suggest only very lightly putting in the 2 bolts nearest to the center of the chair and not putting in the other 2 bolts. Then stop attaching the back and instead attach both arms (lightly) to the chair. This is because the arms are heavy wood and will NOT bend to fit the screw holes. Just lightly put in both bolts on both arms. Then go back to finishing the bolts attaching the back to the seat, and finish by tightening the bolts on the arms.
In all of this, make sure the bolts are going straight down into the hole and not sideways or you will strip the bolt or worse strip the bolt hole.
I just got this chair in this morning. I was going to wait for a while to review to see how well it holds up in the durability department. After assembly and use of this morning I can already tell that it is going to last a while. Everything was packaged very well and even though the box had some damage, nothing in the box was harmed at all. It took me about 45 minutes to get this chair together, which was a surprise because of all the reviews of people saying it would take 3 to 4 hours. If you have tools, get a 3/8 socket wrench with a 12mm instead of the tiny allen wrench the give you. Trust me it will help you when putting the seat to the back. It is really nice that they put a head on the allens. I did have one problem that was easily fixed and was totally my fault. I tightened the bolts on the seat and the back all the way down and when I was putting the arms on, one side did not line up. I looked back at the instructions and realized they tell you not to tighten them all the way. After loosening them a bit the arm slid in place and it was done. This chair by far exceeded my expectations. The only little tiny issue I have with it, the tilt does not go back very far. It does go back, but only about 70 degrees. For 225$ I am very pleased and I did not think that it was enough of a problem to lower it a star. It is very comfortable and well built. I cringed when I saw it was made in china. Do not fret, this is one exception to that, it is a very sturdy, beautiful piece of furniture. I am very happy and would buy this exact one again if I had to. Do not look any further, this is the chair you want.
Excellent chair, but most might need help to put together since the base and back-rest need pressure to be forced together while trying to install the bolts; otherwise, the quality and workmanship seems pretty high. I have had no issue in about a month with the pneumatics. Bonded leather looks great. Added a memory-foam seat cushion just so the leather seat lasts longer. Im 65 and my feet sit comfortably on the floor, but now my knees hit the desk (problem with the desk - e.g. small desk).
Very comfortable and it was made very well. Its a fairly heavy chair when its all put together. The wood used is durable and heavy made to last. Good chair here. 10/10 would buy again

This chair has been a great chair so far
This chair has been a great chair so far. Everyone who sits in it likes it. I think we are now up to about 12 ordered in the last 3 to 4 months.
Only for those who are big or tall
