Instructions sucked and the bed is a little more wobbly than Id hoped after reading all the reviews. The rungs on the ladder are so narrow that they hurt my kids feet to climb up them so I had to install padding. But for the price its satisfactory. I feel if I could give different models the eye test I couldve done better.

The hardware seemed very adequate. Make sure to install
the bolts very tight so they wont loosen. Pay attention to
the directions, if so no sweat.
After reading the reviews, I decided that this bed would be a good choice for my four year olds new bed. I wanted a twin over full and something that was solid. I also didnt want to spend a lot of money considering how hard kids are on , as well as not knowing how long hes going to want to have bunk beds in his room.
I decided to start a timer as my husband and I started unboxing this bed and seeing EXACTLY how long it took to put this bed together. In full disclosure, we 1) Used a power tool to put the screws in and 2) We were still watching our two small children, so there were potty breaks, extra helping and a little chasing involved. With that said, it took us 1 hour and 55 minutes to put this together / about what I was expecting. We had a REALLY hard time getting one of the top slats in (just one. We actually considered just leaving it out) so that alone probably added 10 minutes.
As another reviewer suggested, we installed the ladders upside/down so that the two steps that are closer together are at the top so my son has more steps when hes at the top. Now that its built, Im not sure that would have been necessary, as they can climb up on the bottom part of the top bunk, and that first step over the bottom mattress is pretty big now, but its fine how it is.
Hes been sleeping in the bottom bunk for about a week now and it doesnt move, squeak, rattle or anything that would make me concerned about how solid it might be so far. You will not be getting a piece of heirloom that you can pass down to your grandkids / there are already little spots where the paint is chipping off the bed, but for the price, I still think this bed is a great buy.
I will add / when they say use a 6 mattress or less, they mean it. We bought a 6 memory foam mattress and I wonder if we should have done a 5. I feel like with the 6 mattress we are pushing not having enough guard rail on the top. I suppose with an older child this might not be as much of an issue as with a pre/schooler.

Its sturdy and a good value but it does squeak quite a bit. I have two kids sleeping in this bunk and a ten year old that tosses at night so the squeaking starts to get to you. Like the color. I like that I could buy a brand new frame for less than disgusting ones on Craigslist.
This was a great purchase. We took the bottom frame out and turned it into a loft bed. Its still very stable (we made absolutely sure) and now my daughter has extra space for a desk under her bed. We will be purchasing another of these for my son in the near future. We are please
