I finally found the perfect solid wood bed for my 8 year old son that I do not need to replace as he grows! I really needed storage that would grow with him but I didnt want the standard bed with just big drawers. The Bali bed is just perfect. It works great for his toys right now and I can see him using it for books etc as he gets older. I love the color - its a lovely, warm caramel - and finish. I was worried when it arrived because the boxes came separately, looked pretty banged up and one of them was actually open! Amazingly there was nothing missing and zero scratches!! It was also pretty easy to put together - took a while but DH assembled it while watching tv in one, long evening. My son loves his grown-up bed too and now his big sister wants to swap beds with him:D
I really enjoy the storage space and it looks nice and organized. I wish I would have paid the additional fee to have someone else put it together for me. It took 3 days to complete the assembly.
Assembly instructions were thorough but it was a challenge to assemble; however, I was able to assemble it by myself in about 6 hours. Its a very nice looking bed. I have had many compliments on it. Its very sturdy and well made.
Unless you have a big work space and great upper body strength, this is a two person job for sure!! Id buy another for the price but I believe anyone over 150lbs. would be an issue for the structure. Be careful! This bed is good for kids.
The bed is wonderful. Assembly takes time but isn’t difficult at all. Instructions are very clear. The materials are good quality. Best part of the entire experience was by far the impeccable customer service. One of the boxes must have been damaged during shipping and a piece was missing. The company responded immediately to the issue and sent replacement parts within a day or so! Very impressed by the clear attention to detail in the design and construction of the product as well commitment to customer satisfaction. 5 stars!!!
