Assembled myself. Wasn’t In a rush so took 4 evenings.. about 8 hours.. But took my time..
First... you want to construct this in the room where this will be in...
Second.. there are (4) boxes which are labeled 1 thru 4... only open one box at a time.. it’ll keep your work organized.
Three... I used some gorilla glue for the wood dowels and “permanent” parts.
Four.. if you ever have to move this.. after you removed the slats and outer rail the bed will separate into (3) parts... easy to move
Five.. I had to contact customer service immediately upon delivery because recv’d an open box and was worried about missing parts.. I mentioned (via email) I wasn’t going to build this in a couple weeks... I received a reply almost immediately not to be concerned about missing parts even I put this together at a later date...!!
The bed is very sturdy! No backer (bunny) board is needed under your mattress as well.

The did take us a good part of a weekend to assemble. Ive see alot of feedback on the directions that were provided, but as long as you follow the directions in ORDER and dont try to jump ahead they are pretty precise. This does take time to assemble, but we love the way it looks so it was completely worth our time to put it together. We ordered this bed and the headboard at the same time, but the headboard was in stock and the bed wasnt. The original estimated delivery was mid November and we placed the order in September. We were a little nervous about this because we were set to receive the bed well after the headboard. I reached out to the seller to make sure that we werent at risk of the product being discontinued and explained that we had ordered the headboard from a different seller and they were very friendly and assured us that the bed would be there in October and even though these come from different sellers they are the same manufacturer and that they would work with us however necessary. One note, if you have a deep mattress and box spring you may not need the headboard, our mattress goes almost to the top of the headboard and I need steps to get up on to the bed (in process of swaping out our box springs now to lower it a bit). Overall, love this bed!!
I love this bed! It is very sturdy and looks great. Like other reviewers indicate, it took me and my husband about 5 hours to fully assemble (including breaks). The assembly instructions are a series of pictures - so for those with trouble looking at photos and seeing dimensions, it could be a bit more difficult. Just take your time and line up your progress with the layout in the photos and you will be fine! The drawers are a bit small if you plan on replacing your dresser with this - but with some pretty baskets and creativity, it can be done. Plenty of storage if you just plan on using it for extra space. My husband decided to keep his bedside nightstand and so we moved one of the drawers from that part of the bed to align above the other side drawer where there would normally just be a cubby. We had to measure and drill the holes ourselves, but it was quite simple! I use the small slide out table for my phone and my water glass but wouldnt trust it for more than that. Its small - sliding out maybe 5. If you do plan on using this to get rid of a dresser (or because you dont have room for a dresser) plan on buying some pretty baskets and pairing this purchase with the flat velvet hangers offered from Basics. Those are amazing too!
Really great bed. Very well manufactured, very clear instructions. It has a lot of pieces, and I was surprised how nicely all came together. I did not even have to do any adjustments of the drawers. Looks very nice too.
But a few things you may want to know:
- Once you set it up, the bed is hard to move. So if you plan to put it on a corner or on hardwood, keep this in mind. On carpet, it can be moved. But instructions clearly say not to lift the bed (and it is too heavy anyway)
- I was excited about the nightstands but they are way too flimsy for more than a few tiny items. But a handy person can easy improve it.
- I am pretty handy and it took 8 hours to install, with some help from my wife. Without a power tool (only with screwdriver), all those screws would take many more ours.
Some assembly advice, in case it helps: Despite excellent instructions, I made a few recoverable mistakes, ended up with a few (unseen) scratches and two unnecessary holes. Here are some tips:
- If you are confused, pay attention to all good sides of the wood looking at the same direction. If you see all white on top, but one white side down, think again.
- Dont assume everything is symmetric. Step 19, you have a C screw on one end, and 2 F screws on the other.
- There are two identical drawer side pieces,. and it is easy to get confused with where the nightstand should be. At step 21, wait before you lay the frame until you fix the slides with D wood screws.
- In step 40, setting the sides of the frame, all 4 sides are different. Pat attention ot the frames correct orientation on top with respect to the bottom.
- Step 46 and 48: This is where I scratched inside the frame. Make sure the T connection is as closely screwed to 35, so when you put it int the frame, T does not scratch the frame.
The shipping was very quick and the bed is beautiful. Unfortunately, it wont work with an adjustable bed so we had to return. The seller was very understanding and accommodated our request. I would recommend this bed if you dont have an adjustable bed and I would definitely buy from this seller again.

The manufacturer was super responsive in getting our missing parts shipped, but then the UPS shipping center lost our box for a couple of days. Our 6-8 hour assembly project took a couple of weeks. Yes, it was frustrating, but the delays were really on the carrier, not the manufacturer.
You assemble matching side sections and a foot section. Then you connect it all together with the center support and slats. Pay very close attention to the orientation of each board. Count the holes, make sure they match the drawing, notice if screw holes are closer on one end of a board than the other. The directions are quite clear. You can see the small differences. Just dont think both sides/ends of a board are the same. If you take your time and keep double-checking boards and hardware are oriented correctly, youll end up with a great bed.
I do like the product. It is a pretty solid build. Spare at least half a day building this. I am going to warn there are many many small pieces and some either due to the company or delivery came chipped and broken. Also I am not the only one but I am missing some key parts to finish this bed and now I have a waste of furniture that I cant use or simple move into a corner. Waiting on how the company will plan on fixing this issue. Will update the review as soon as I see how they plan to resolve this issue in a timely manner. The wood and the compartments are very useful. I do reccomend the product as my issues dont take away from the overall quality and others might have better luck.
Amazing customer service!! I found them on Facebook and messaged them. They were so helpful in helping me out! The bed turned out to be amazing and super steady. Also there are many reviews that the directions are complicated but NOT true! The instructions are super easy to follow.
Love this bed for my 3 yr old. Easy to assemble. Delivered in two boxes on separate days. Only complaints is that as with most trundle beds, the wheels do not lock. Need to be observant when sliding trundle back under bed as it can get a little off center, but not hard to maneuver. Otherwise a great bed.

This is a beautiful bed.
The shipping was very quick and the bed is beautiful. Unfortunately, it wont work with an adjustable bed so we had to return. The seller was very understanding and accommodated our request. I would recommend this bed if you dont have an adjustable bed and I would definitely buy from this seller again.
