    Comfortable and easily adjustable.

Surprisingly easy to get used to. All adjustment knobs/levers are very intuitive and easy to use.

    Great chair

At first after unboxing I wasnt crazy about it -- Im over six feet and the chair felt small. But after I got used to the controls and adjustments it fit well and comfortably -- love this chair. Very ergonomic and great for posture. BTW the chair also comes fully assembled, which is a huge plus, no more Allen wrenches and screws going all over the place as with cheaper chairs.

Wow so comfortable and arm rests are the best ever!

I finally upgraded from a gaming chair and wow was it worth it. This chair is very comfortable and provides excellent support especially for my back and arms. This chair hands down has the best arm rests I have ever used on any chair, the are super adjustable in about any position. That was always a big issue in the past on other ergonomic chairs and my gaming chair even with 4 way adjustable arms the range was still limited. I use this for work during the day and gaming and relaxing at night. like to play console and PC and let me tell you, you can adjust the arms perfectly to support your arms while holding a controller which is amazing! One of the other important things I was looking for in a new chair was amazing back support and I dont only feel like my back is properly support but its not comfortable either. I feel like my back is melting into the backrest its so relaxed but also supported very well. I like the live back technology and the various locking positions, the second locking position is perfect for how I sit leaned back to the first locking position past upright. The live back tech allows to move and wiggle a bit while in that leaned back position and it just feels great. As a note I opted to get the version without the additional lumbar support as I feel the curve of the seat is already very supportive and fit perfectly. Seat is comfortable, it looks like the seat is actually wrapped in a hard plastic shell so I was concerned about comfort there, but its actually a soft but supportive rubber kinda material that flexes and is not hard. The seat is actually really comfortable and the easy seat depth adjustment with just turning the knob on the side is an excellent touch. Last Ive seen some others mentioning that their armrests arrived damaged or with lines or creases in them. I did not have this issue and the chair seemed to be packed very well and I noticed that it actually came with additional covers over each of the arm pads which I would assume would prevent any of the issues l. TLDR: Ive had an overall excellent experience and I think this chair is def worth the price especially considering the excellent back support and by far the best and most adjustable arm rests which really enhance your sitting experience for a variety of scenarios. Buy this over a gaming chair!

Extremely comfortable and adjustable, but back clicks when returning to upright position

The Gesture is everything Id hoped for to replace my decade-old Herman-Miller Taskpointe chair—extremely adjustable, very comfortable, visually attractive. Im at my home office desk nearly 12 hours a day, and at 63 tall and 195 pounds, I needed a chair that could handle my height (seat depth adjustment) and length of sitting. After a week of ownership, this chair appears to be a good investment. The only flaw, and its more an annoyance than performance issue, is that on the first day after it arrived, it developed a clicking or light clunking sound in the backrest whenever I returned to an upright position after leaning back. It appears to be in the top third of the backrest, where the plastic flexes and the frame components meet, as though someone is tapping firmly once on the chair in the area between my shoulder blades. It occurs no matter how far back I lean. This seems to be an engineering or design issue. The chair is far too large and heavy to consider a return and, based on other reviews Ive seen on and elsewhere, this is not an isolated issue. And its the only (annoyingly audible) flaw so far in an otherwise well-made, comfortable chair.

Free-moving arm rests and thin seat padding make this a less-perfect chair

I splurged on this expensive chair but I was disappointed. The arm rests lock height but swing out and slide foreword and back freely. The chair back only locks in that it keeps the chair back from leaning past one of 4 points. The top feels too vertical but the next setting after that feels like I am leaning too far back and resting on my tailbone. I also weigh 280+ lbs. and sitting on the thin chair padding causes my posterior to feel pain. Overall, a solid and robust chair, but the arm and back adjustments need better design, especially for bigger people.

Easily a Five Star Product to Me!

Chair was delivered well packaged and protected. As a result, it arrived in perfect condition. This is a heavy chair (sign of durability) with a firm seat but its just what I needed and wanted. Note that I am 6 3 tall and weigh about 170 lbs. I had no issues adjusting the chair to be comfortable to me. As others have mentioned, the chair makes a noise when returning to an upright position after reclining. However, that is not a big deal to me as I am using it in my home office and there is no one else nearby to be bothered by it. Looking forward to many years of enjoyable use!

Comfy. Also eats pant pockets regularly.

The way these armrests are designed is the perfect way to sit down and simultaneously tear your pockets right from your pants. Im up to 3 pairs with a torn pocket down the side because the armrests just slip right in like a glove. Ive gotta remember to move the armrests outward or possibly tear more pants. Other than that, Im 6 5 tall and the backrest is just tall enough for good support into the upper back. My poor pants.

Perfect fit for my aging back

This chair is amazing. I first came to use one at work, working for a certain three letter agency, and found that it was a perfect fit for my back that has all kinds of issues especially when I am sitting for about 10 hours a day. It might be on the expensive side but it has some many ways to adjust the entire chair (more than other chairs I have owned) it makes it to where you can fine tune it to fit your body to reach maximum comfort. They also have a nice variety of colors to chose from.

High Quality Office Chair - Will Stand Up to Full Day Daily Use!

If you intend to use an office chair for an hour each day, there are likely many chairs you can buy for much less, that will be comfortable. primarily sells to businesses, because a business understands that comfortable employees are more productive, and having to replace someones chair yearly is false economy. Their products are not inexpensive, they are built incredibly well, and designed to stand up to years of full day use, every day of the week. I had an inexpensive Office Max brand chair, which was initially moderately comfortable. After a year of full day use, it felt horrible... I was bottoming out the foam in the seat cushion and back, the fabric was pilling and pulling, and was badly faded in areas. I purchased this Gesture about 1.5 years ago. It looks and feels as good as the day it was delivered. The fabric on the seat and back cleans up beautifully if something gets spilled on it, or just with soil from daily use. The foam in the seat and back is holding up really well, still feels great. Not everyone will like every chair, we are all built a little different, but this chair is designed to fit a huge number of people well. If you are quite short, it might be worth visiting a professional office furniture location, as this chair is available with a lower seat height, so that shorter individuals feet will still reach the floor. Im happy with my purchase. Working from home was really bothering me in the old Office Max chair, this chair is incredibly comfortable. The down side is that now I need to use software that reminds me to get up and move hourly! Sitting stationary for hours at a time is not good. We all need to remember to take short breaks. I highly recommend the Gesture. The many adjustments are great in making the chair fit what you want, the high quality keeps the chair feeling great for years to come!

Great chair - worth the investment

This is a great chair. I bought it due to top rating in WireCutter and I see why it was highly recommended. It adjusts in all the right places, nice firmness while being comfortable, and it looks great.
