This bed is a great value, and I would purchase again without hesitation. Perfect for a child's room. I did not assemble, but my son and his friend did. Together, it took them less than an hour. Both said it went together easily and felt to be of good quality. Feels so much nicer than IK$ furniture, which I would never purchase again.
When we got it, a few pieces were broken. We contacted their customer service and they were very prompt in sending in replacement parts. It's a beautiful bed. Quite sturdy. The planks of wood (supporting the mattress) from the top bunk are unfinished and unfortunately I got a wood splinter from it.
Great bunk beds except the supporting slats are too far apart. My 3 year old sank and the mattress sagged when she happened to sit between slats. Easily remedied with supporting slats, but factor in an additional $40-ish per bed to buy separately. Recommend the vertical slats (running from top to bottom of bed) - they seem to work well.
Not enough support for a full size bed. Side rails are too thin and there is nothing middle support leg. My 6yo should be fine, but me (185lbs) sitting on it doesnt leave me too confident. Wouldnt recommend.
Overall Impressions:
We are really impressed with this bed. We purchased the twin size for my 2 year old that is being forced to vacate his convertible crib due to a sibling's imminent arrival. The selling point for us was the weight limit and materials used in construction, no fiberboard/mdf type pressed wood, it is made out of natural wood (pine, I think). The listing stated it has a weight limit of 400 lbs, resting weight. We have come pretty close to that between my 6'3 250lbs self and my pregnant wife along with our little one all sitting on the bed a few times, and there has been no sounds of protest from the solid frame.
Packaging:
I was so impressed with how the bed was packaged for shipment, that I had to take a picture and include it in my review. Each wooden piece was individually packed with a foamy wrap that kept the finish perfect. All the hardware was included, and some extra screws were added, for the small wood screws.
Assembly/Bed Design:
The assembly process was very straight forward, with no surprises for the user. Instructions were easy to follow, if you can assemble an Ikea shelf, you can easily put this together. The design is well thought out to be easy to assemble, yet sturdy. I always advocate for the use of power tools, although they included the required Hex wrenches in the hardware kit. If you use your own tools, you will need metric Hex bits, FYI. There is voluminous storage underneath the bed, or it can be left as a convenient cave for ambitious little explorers.
All in all, this was a fantastic purchase.
We bought this bed a couple years ago for our daughter. She bounces on it, climbs all over it, and has spilled sticky hands all over the frame. Still in great shape and easy to clean.
We recently moved cross country and the bed came apart easily; we left the brackets on the head and foot board (covered with clipped pool noodles) and took the wood sides and center bar out. It assembled again flawlessly. Excellent purchase for the price.
This is really nice, and it is difficult to find blue furniture for kids (or anyone). I wish there was a matching dresser and desk set. It is quite sturdy and can handle adult weight; I like the ladder and the tall top rail. Wish there was optional toddler bed rail for bottom bunk. Be sure not to order mattresses that are too thick. I like that the beds can be split up if needed, and used separately, or bunked. We have the twin over full, and it is perfect for sleepovers and guests.

Nice enough bed

More pieces
Wish there were a dresser and burrow cest of drawers to go with the beds.
Mattress sags between too-wide slats

Attractive sturdy bed with available matching storage drawers.
Attractive sturdy bunk. Purchased drawers for added storage under bed as well.
Not strong enough for a Full size bed
Not enough support for a full size bed. Side rails are too thin and there is nothing middle support leg. My 6yo should be fine, but me (185lbs) sitting on it doesnt leave me too confident. Wouldnt recommend.
