This bed is firmer then you think

Bed is made of high quality components and looks and feels nice. But buyer beware. This bed is definitely firmer then what is lead on. We were forced to buy a memory foam topper for it because my wife just couldnt handle it .

    Such a letdown

It was great until I started sinking in just 3 months later. Can barely sleep now. Smh

Not as firm as many reviews claim

I love this bed. I was very nervous due to all of the reviews talking about how firm it is. My husband wanted a bed that was more firm, but in the past I have been more of a right in the middle in terms of firmness preference. This bed, however, is not as firm as I was expecting. It has a lot of bounce, but it does not sink too much when you lie down. I have slept very comfortably on this bed for several nights and we are happy with the purchase.

    Supportive, firm/ medium firm feel

Mattress came in a box, was heavy, so helpful to have two people to move it inside/ to desired room, but could probably manage with just one person. Definitely bring it to the room you want it in right away! you can take off the cardboard box first (we didnt since I was worried about it jack/in/the boxing, but the plastic wrap has it secured in the rolled up position, so no worries if you dont want that dirty packaging in your bedroom. Once you have it in desired place, you can use the included plastic cutting device to slice open plastic (we didnt see it til after and just used scissors). There are two steps to cut, the first just unfurls it from a tube position (but still vacuum sealed), then the second step/ cut releases the mattress fully and it starts to enlarge (slowly/ so my fears of being flung across the room were completely unfounded). Seemed to be in its full size in under 5 minutes, but we gave it two hours (would have done longer, but didnt get delivered until 8:30pm) to breath and take shape anyways before sleeping on it. The important part is that this bed immediately supported my back in a way our previous older memory foam mattress no longer did, and it alleviated much of my back and neck pain by morning (and I am a chronic sufferer, which numerous herniated/ subluxated discs and pinched nerves)! So that was what I was looking for and this mattress absolutely delivered in that department! This mattress is definitely a firm/ medium firm in both my, and my husbands opinion. This lack of plush feel makes it less comfortable for side sleeping, which both of us noticed (should would feel sore after a while, and need to switch sides every few hours). Since I am, and need to be with my back issues, predominantly a back sleeper, this is not the worst for me. However, since my husband rotates more throughout the night, we are looking to add either a 2 inch gel foam topper, or just a plush quilted mattress topper for a little extra comfort for him, all easy enough solutions. As mattresses tend to break down or wear in over time and lose some of the firmness, I would still rather start off more supportive and firm, and then we can always take off the mattress topper over time as it wears. The construction and quality feel very good, and it does not sleep hot (noticeably cooler than our last that also had cooling gel top layer); I would recommend this product fully, as long as you are not expecting a plush feel. I read all the good reviews, took a gamble (as it seems hard to, or near impossible to return, as you have to get it back into a box, lol), and Im happy I did! (4.5 stars here, will update over time)

Extremely heavy and too firm for us

Its obviously good quality. Its way too hard for us, so we put a 2 topper on. That made a big difference. I would have returned it, but its too darn heavy to deal with. It took 2 delivery guys to get it to the door (no stairs involved). We had to open it on the patio and get neighbors to help us get it onto the frame. Very unwieldy.

    A very unpleasant nights sleep.

Ive had this matress for over a month now. I let it fluff for an entire week, but nothing would help this thing. It is the least supportive mattress Ive ever owned. This is my 3rd hybrid matress in a box that I purchased on through the years, and the first time Ive been so unhappy. This thing gives 0 support while sleeping. Im 195 lbs and my wife is 120 lbs. Even she sinks into this thing to the point of feeling the springs. I have woken up in pain every night that Ive slept on it.

    Loved this bed at first

For the first 3.5 months this mattress was great and was super happy. Right at almost 4 months it started to sag on the side I sleep, and I started to get the same back pain again that prompted me to buy this mattress in the first place, just past the return date so rotated it to hopefully get a few more months out if it. Super disappointed

    Soft, squishy sinking mattress

This is the worst mattress I have ever bought. I will try to list, in order, the many ways that this mattress is a waste of money, makes my body feel like Ive been sleeping in a hammock full of farts and dirty laundry; 1. Expansion / This mattress didnt fully expand. Per the directions, once we received the mattress we unwrapped it and set it against the wall to offgas and expand. Like our last mattress (a Zinus queen size mattress that we really loved, but unfortunately was unavailable) it uncoiled and began to puff up, but it never fully plumped, for wont of another word, the fabric on top was still wrinkled and deflated looking by the third day (to be exact, the third and a half day). Since we had just moved and my hubby and I were sleeping on a bedroll and so sore and tired and desperate for a bed, we decided against letting it air out and expand for a fourth day (fourth and a half, to be exact), a decision we came to regret (maybe the fourth day was the miracle day where the lump became a better mattress?). 2. Softness / this bed is so so soft. if you sit on the end or sides it squashes down like a piece of sweet hawaiian bread. If you maneuver to the center of the bed, it sinks in, smothering your weak cries for help. Along with the new mattress, we bought a new bed, it is similar to our last bed, with the slats instead of using a boxspring, this mattress made me think that if I weighed more it might end up oozing between the slats all the way to the floor, sorta like that playdoh barbershop toy that used to be on tv when I was a kid. The mattress is so soft that I had to put a pillow at my back to keep myself from rolling into the middle with my husband and when I get out of the bed (not get up, get out, like crawling from a hole) I have to grab onto the sides for leverage to pull myself away from the middle and then out of the mattress. It is almost comical, except for the part where I wake up with lower back pain to match the shoulder and neck pain that has been plagueing me for weeks. 3. Odor / The mattress seemed to hold onto the chemical smells far longer than our last mattress, I had to buy a very fluffy mattress cover to try and block some of the smell and it is STILL very noticeable. But, to be fair, my husband says he cant smell it anymore especially since he started to take sudafed daily for seasonal allergies, so I guess that is an option. The odor has lessened in the last few weeks but its still noticeable to me and I think anyone with scent sensitivity would need to know. 4. Comfort and sleep quality / I am feeling so sore and tired every morning, trying to sleep on this deflated marshmallow of a bed. I have completely given up on it and just ordered a new mattress. I read all of the super happy reviews and it feels like these people bought an entirely different mattress. Just for info sake, my mattress is a queen size and it was delivered in May 2022.
