The color is pretty accurate! It looks like it would almost be a hard metal but its a much softer material. Anyway, they look awesome and are much bigger than I thought-SO SPACIOUS! I havent used them to travel yet, but Im sure theyll be amazing. They look awesome and expensive.
I bought the bronze set which actually looks like gold when you receive it. Its gorgeous. As other reviewers have stated, the set looks expensive. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I started to see scuff marks after my very first trip.
I am very happy with this luggage set. The material seams durable although it is light. The only thing that could be better is the handle, it is not the perfect fit for the size of the luggage. Overall I am happy.
We purchased two of these after United Airlines sent email warnings that they would be strictly enforcing a maximum size of 9 x 14 x 22. When they were delivered, I was concerned that the actual width was not 13 as listed but was closer to 15 when the side feet were included, but the cases were flexible enough that it looked like they could be squeezed down to 14 if necessary. It turns out that Uniteds bag sizer has some tolerance, so our cases easily passed without brushing the sides. For cases this small, they have a decent capacity. You open the case right down the middle, so you have equal-sized compartments in each side, plus it has zippered expandability if you are not worried about carry-on restrictions. Inside, the only pockets are in the fabric separating the two compartments, and I would have also liked something along the edges, but that was not a big deal. The cases are very light and seem to be reasonably sturdy. I expect them to hold up well for car travel and carry-on use -- not letting baggage handlers near them. The spinner wheels are a nice convenience, although most cases have them these days. Other reviewers have mentioned the warning that they contain a carcinogenic material. We made the judgment call that the risk should be small, since: 1) The materials are non-porous; 2) The cases are lined; 3) We wrap many of our clothes when we pack; and 4) We use the cases to transport our things, not to store them. We bought these in May, 2014, and will update the review if our experience changes.
We bought this set after much research online before our trip to Yellowstone. Flew from San Antonio to Denver and back... luggage did just great. Luggage is lightweight yet sturdy. Was a little concerned about the zippers, as they seem a little flimsy to me, but so far, it has been great! Only minor disappointment was color which was stated as bronze... it is gold, but still like it and it was super easy to spot at airport. Very happy with this purchase.
I found this set surprisingly sturdy for the money. My first trip with this luggage was to Korea and it returned with all wheels still attached and virtually unscathed. (And, it still looks good!) I highly recommend.
I would recommend this product. It is light with great wheels for easy transport. The color is awesome. Three pieces work very well for any type of trip or travel.
Love these so far. We took a trip to Scotland and from there to Paris and these held up very well and still look brand new. We took these babies on cobble stones paths, up many flights of stairs and then stuffed them to the brim with whiskey and they survived (so did the whiskey) the only issue is the medium sized ones handle does not stay up but thats not a huge deal because the wheels on them glide so effortlessly and they look so pretty. Cant wait to plan my next trip and see how long these last.
This luggage is attractive and functional for the short or medium term. I dont believe it is sturdy enough to hold up for dozens of trips. It has a funky smell inside - like mothballs or something. That will maybe fade with time keeping dryer sheets inside. Zippers work well and slide smoothly. Wheels work fine. Pull handles come up or down without a control button. This could be a positive or a negative for various people. Inside zipper compartments are plentiful - although the compartment-separating fabric does not seem terribly strong. Stretch bands which hold items in place work fine and hold securely. Locks included. Again - this luggage set is pretty and works fine - but smells bad inside and is not built to last a very long time. Bargain price. If they become non-functional, they could still be used as props in photographs - or something.
