When I placed my order the safe was on back order. Was expected to arrive by August 3rd and I received the safe July 20th which was a nice surprise. The packaging was very nice and kept the safe protected. I did however open the packaging to find a couple small dings and some scuffs in the paint. Im thinking maybe this was missed before packaging as it didnt seem to be caused by shipping. I email the seller and had a response within 20 minutes apologizing and offering to refund me a very reasonable amount of money or to even send me another safe. As everything functioned and worked great on the safe, I chose the partial refund and went ahead and touched up the safe myself. The safe comes with its own anchors that work well and has a decent liner for the bottom of the safe. I have been using it for a week now and I have to say it works perfect. I have had zero issues with the finger print scanner and everything works smooth and crisp. The safe seems to be very well made and should hold up for some time. The sides are a little thin but is to be expected in this price range. This holds all my guns perfectly. I will say I was a little disappointed when i noticed the cosmetic flaws, but after talking with the seller I couldnt be happier. They really went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my purchase. We need more companies like this! I have recommended this safe to my friends and I recommend it to you as well.
This safe is perfect for my needs. Its really more like a steel gun cabinet because of the thickness, but thats not a dealbreaker. If youre looking for a secure way to store firearms away from kids, this is a great option. Also, it doesnt weigh a million pounds, so you dont have to worry about it being a permanent fixture to your home (that will help if should have to move one day). Of course it wont stop a professional burglar, but neither will your grandpas 4 thick safe from the olden days.
The biometric scanner works great, and is a fine secure option. There are also plenty of backup options to open the safe should one method fail, so thats a huge plus.
The only thing I do t like about it, is I cant store my AR/15 with a magine loaded (I have to cant it to the side), otherwise, this thing is golden.
The safe was delivered with no issues. The safe weighs about 120lbs and will need to be bolted but i anticipated that. I have had no issues with this safe and think it is a great purchase for the money.
This is a you get what you pay for situation. Its what I expected for the money. Its not a super heavy duty safe but its good enough. I used 3 5/16 wood screws and went side ways into a stud, and tightened in with ratchet head. Once it was in place it felt rock solid. You could not get this safe open, or pry it from the wall with a crowbar alone. The instructions for setting up the fingerprint and code access seem straight/forward. However, they are not. If you dont do it right it wont set correctly and ANY fingerprint will unlock it so be careful. After an hour of repeated attempts I finally got it right and it accepted and saved the fingerprint access. I was too worn out to attempt the code access fearing that I would wipe out the fingerprint access setting. Other than that Im happy with the purchase overall
First off, I love the safe! But the box was delivered half open with items missing because of miss handling. I contacted Moutec about the missing items and they immediately sent them new free of charge! Also to add, they sent me a new door panel organizer for the inconvenience of the delivery company which is very nice. I highly recommend this safe and company.
After reading the reviews for this safe, I decided to order one. It arrived in a much shorter time than expected. On arrival the safe was well packed in a heavy box with heavy Styrofoam packaging. The quality was everything I expected. The safe is made of heavy gauge steel and everything fit together very nicely. The only thing I would like to have seen if the door would open a few degrees more.
