looks like it was returned but is what it is

Im too ly to take pictures but one of the back mounting holes was bent and paint chipped like someone previously tried to mount it. Other than that its fine. Worth what you pay. I would opt for a different topshelf setup and a carpet lined safe instead. The lockable top shelf is more of a hindrance than benefit to me Quality could be improved.

    Okay for what it is

Dont expect a thick steel safe and you will be fine. If you want to prevent your firearms from being gotten to easily by adding an extra layer of inconvenience, this is perfect. But dont be mistaken that this safe will keep out anyone with actual intent to get your guns. I bought this safe simply as a safe place to store my fire arms, and that is what it does. However, anyone with a metal punch, hammer, and decent metal snips could get through the side of this safe. Imagine a school locker with slightly thicker steel, and a better door. An attack from the front would be difficult, but any other direction of attack and this safe would fall apart. This upper and lower floor, and thin sides that can easily be overcome by stuff in most garages. Not bad.

Its ok, but UPS damaged it.

The Safe works as advertised but shipping can definently be a little better. Product came upside down when gave it a little dent and some paint finish chipping off, its a little overpriced for what you get but it works. Holds things.

    Not a heavy duty safe

Its more like a heavy duty gym locker than a safe. Does the job I need it to do which is keep the guns away from any kids. I would suggest bolting it to the wall because 1 person could carry it out of your house let alone someone my size 61 270lbs. Thought it was bigger.

    Convenient and compact safe.

Nice, slim design mounted on wall near bed. Easy and quick access while keeping gun safely out of the wrong hands. Door stop was a little difficult to figure out when mounting. Battery compartment is hard to reach and not well lit when batteries need replacing. easy assemble, exactly as expected, space saver.

    Good enough

It is what it is. You get what you pay for. Simply put it works to keep your kids out. If youre worried about a break in and someone with a large pry bar ripping it out of the studs and carrying it off buy something else. Think before you buy.

    Full review begining to end.

First and foremost, whoever wrapped this safe for shipping should be givin an award! This came with thin metal corner pieces, inside very think pressed cardboard, after that a layer of foam, and then bubble wrap. The outside was pretty beat up but the cabinet itself was in perfect condition. Moving on. As another customer wrote, the directions was for another safe. (Didnt set code yet so cant review that, only used with key) The battery pack is NOT 9 volt. Its 4 double AA batteries. The battery pack is located inside the safe right behind the keypad. BEWARE: The yappy wrong password alarm is extremely high pitch and annoying as **** I tried to set it and made too many wrong attempts and woke the kids up , lol. Moving forward. As I called it before, a cabinet because its not exactly a safe , you see. While it has safe like features, and a heavy steel door thats about it. The other 3 walls are rather thin, very thin for a safe. But its like a heavy cabinet. All the weight is literally in the door. While the seller says up to 6.5 CM of steel in the door, it dosnt matter if you can take a grinder and pop through the tin walls on any of 3 sides. So yea, its a heavy cabinet. Another thing I very strongly dislike is, when you use the key to open it , it just releases the handle, as oppose to truly locking the mechanism and releasing handle activity, so in short , it kind feels like under enough tension, the handle can be forced and unlocked. Im not sure if the thin walls is a standard for these kinds of things, Im more familiar with real safes, actual real enforced steel on all sides , which this is not. So overall, 3 stars. Durability is decent, walls a bit thin like I said, keypad password is annoying to set up, followed the wrong instructions and dont work, (will update review once I do that) . Again shipping and packaging was simply aming, well wrapped and alot of care went in to it to protect from damage. It IS one of the cheaper cabinets you can buy on , Im very curious to know if they all have thin walls with a solid door. Hm, will have to do some research for that. This safe is good to simply lock things away from kids or guests, I wouldnt trust this against burglars , especially if they have time on their hands. Anywho, hope my review helps somebody out. Take care, tooteloos for now. Oh! Also, shipping said earliest date 2 weeks , but it came literally like 2/3 days later which was nice. Interesting.

    Good, but needs better lining

Works well. No glitches so far. But I wish it would have better lining. When extracting weapon fast, I have scuffed it against the edge of the safe, several times. Luckily, I have anticipated that and lined the walls of container with the hard foam. Looks solid, easy to assemble.

    Perfect size

I like this safe, the only problem is that I cant get the digital combo to work and the directions are very vague. Ill need to contact them for more directions. Perfect!!

    Gets the job done.

Came in pristine condition carefully packaged. Looks like quality construction for the price. As serious gun owners will say, its labeled a safe but its more of a heavy duty locking cabinet. My home is old with narrow doors so no 3 or 600 pound behemoth is going to be able to make its way into my basement. Rifle brace is sturdy and the top compartment holds about 3 pistols give or take depending on size. 5 rifles looks doable bit a bit tight. I leave the key in the lock on the top locking compartment. I see no need to remove them when the main door locks. Id just lose them and have to break in. Battery compartment cover is flimsy, thr clip snapped the first time on and I had to secure it with a piece of heavy duty duct tape. Also it will not feel super secure until its bolted to the floor, wall or both. Its not something Id leave free standing, especially with kids in the house. For me it fit the bill perfecrly, decent quality push button lock security for a long gun and a few pistols that doesnt break the bank and will fit through my basement door. Secures from curious kids and makes a casual burglar have to put some extra grunt work in to get at your weapons. Works great!!
