When we placed the beds together they slid apart during the night. There is no kit to buy to assemble them together so we had to use zip ties to keep the legs together. Not a good idea for an adjustable king size bed
I got this frame for my elderly father who has mobility issues. All the others were sooo expensive and didnt seem worth it.
I read the reviews and basically took the leap. Im so glad I did! This thing is SILENT. Its as quiet as a mouse. I was afraid it would be like one of those scary hospital beds, but its the furthest thing from it. It feels luxurious actually.
It is sooo sturdy smooth and strong. I cant believe some reviews say it noisy. Its silent. We paired it with the 14 hybrid and my Dad says its the best bed hes ever had. And hes 82!
When I was a kid (including thru my 40s) i always thought when I was rich Id get an adjustable bed. Guess what. Im 57 and I just figured out you dont need to be rich! Damn it. I feel like I wasted 1/3 of my life lying prone in bed. Except for a few times that werent wasted. I digress. You should buy one of these. If you have a foam mattress, you can just buy the bed frame and use your mattress. Mine is 6 and its a little firm. Im talking about the mattress now. If you have a spring mattress, go ahead and pay for the 10 foam mattress that you can buy with this frame. Im sure there will be debate about 10 vs. 6 but Im plenty happy with my 6.
And it came in the mail. My husband put this together easily and hes 78. I like the idea that when my pain level is high I can adjust the bed and rake pressure off my back. The mattress is comfortable. The only problem I have is you cant sit on the edge of the bed or you will slide off. That would be the only drawback. It is well worth the money.
Im so pleased this bed is as so many described here. (I read many reviews before I ordered, finding it difficult to believe I didnt have to spend in the 1000s for an adjustable bed!) My son helped me and all went smoothly. The mattress recommended to go with it is great -firm but thats what my back needs.
