For those of you who dont know, bonded leather is not real leather, rather, it is shreds of leather mixed with fabric to lower the cost. That is why this chair costs 229 and not 559. However, if cared for correctly, bonded leather can last quite a while, which I like. Enough about the leather though, let me talk about the actual chair.

The difficulty of assembling this chair was not very high. By myself, I completed it within 45 minutes with the tools provided. I would recommend reading the directions carefully, and to keep the screws loosened before assembling it completely. It arrived in a slightly beat up box, but the chair inside was fine, thanks to the high amount of padding inside. I came across no hard parts to assembling this chair
Features
As you probably expected, this chair is made of leather. Bonded leather, but still feels like leather. Thanks to its mostly leather construction, it is very comfortable, and the bonded leather used seems to be of high quality, being soft and supple to the touch. The height of this chair is quite high, going above normal office chairs. The tilt function is extremely useful, and it helps keep your body relaxed and comfortable. However, I would recommend a footrest of sorts and when you tilt back, without a footrest the blood flow to your legs is limited. The infinite lock is also very useful, as you can customize the chairs tilt to your exact needs. Parts other than the leather ones are made of wood and metal, with a little bit of plastic. The wood base give the chair a very steady feeling, and the wooden armrests make the appearance of the chair seem extremely high grade. One gripe I have with this chair is the head and lumbar support. The lumbar support knob does not adjust very much, but lumbar support can quickly be gained with a memory foam pillow, or any kind of pillow. The headrest is non/protruding, which may be either a pro or con for you. I find it to be slightly lacking for my needs, but it is still very soft, just not jutting out like many ergonomic chairs. The size of this chair is a bit on the large size, but this large size causes it to be heavenly for people who are not big or tall, like me.

Finally upgraded desk chairs after about 7 years of the same old torn up leather basics chair. For reference, Im 6 4 and about 215lbs. This chair feels like sitting on heaven. Ive spent hours sitting on it, working, gaming, watching tv/videos; and after about a month I can confidently say I will never let go of this chair. So comfortable. Great lumbar support and materials. Easy to assemble. What more is there to say. Buy this chair.

So far, so good. Ive been having problems with sciatica for the past few months and a new desk chair was definitely needed. This one has fit the bill quite nicely. Good support and adjustments. Very comfy. And the assembly was pretty easy.
So far I love it, I received it today from fedex and Its a wonder it made it here without pieces missing or damaged. The box was beat up really bad and open at the top at the point ; how did nothing fall out! Well it speaks well of Sertas packaging; no one thing damaged and all pieces there. I put it together in approx 30 min and the instructions were simple and easy to understand. The base is solid wood with a slit milled out for steel support bars ( I bet and elephant could train on this. Joking ! ) so the base is extremely solid. Very soft cushion material with a strong hydraulic lift system that should hold up for a few years. With lumbar support and multi position tilt lock, you wont go wrong. I payed a little more than what it is advertised now just a week ago , but its a good buy.
FINALLY an office chair with the height I was looking for! Im 64, 290. At first sitting, I knew this was the one. Now I will say, that the arms on the chair took some upper body strength to get into the holes.so you may need assistance. I suggest attaching the arm to the back first, then pulling toward the seat attachment point. Again, quite a feat! Overall, LOVE this chair!
yes, yes, yes! I bought this chair for my home office and I liked it so much I bought one for my work. I had been looking at a brown leather chair for quite some time and I went with this one because of the reviews. It is an over/sized chair and I am not an over/sized person, but it is so comfortable for me, I have plenty of room. The look is great, it is slightly distressed.
In the past I would buy the leather chairs at Staples. They run sales on chairs every Sunday so a 150 chair would be 80 / 100 or so. But every chair would start to wear around the arms and seat. The thin, thin layer of leather that is glued onto fabric would crack and remove within a year. This leather seems to be of higher quality but only time will tell.

Very comfortable chair
Nice leather, good padding and decent support. Wheels supplied with chair were not hardwood floor friendly. Had to purchase replacement wheels.
