Ive used this chair for about 6 months and it is great. I sit in it 9 hours a day. Im a big man and it has held up perfectly. My prior chair kept sinking down throughout the day. I contacted that manufacturer, who was not Serta, and they sent me a replacement cylinder and that fixed it, but by then I had this one. I like this one so much I gave the other one to my secretary and it works good for her, but shes a lot smaller than me. I never purchased an office chair without sitting in it before, but no problems with this Serta. Highly recommended!!
This was almost too easy to put together. Follow the instructions and when it says leave these loosepay attention, there is a good reason. This is to make attaching the arms simple. Very heavy gauge steel supporting the back and no flimsy angle brackets needed. The wood base has also been reinforced by a heavy gauge base then fit cosmetic wood around it. I was surprised by the controls having the material covering them instead of bare plastic. Nice touch. I am a big guy to be transparent. This is rated for 350. I am 380 62. Dont judge . This review is to help guys like us. I have lots of room now. No more tight fit cutting off circulation. Adjusted quite easily to have feet flat on the floor. This is very comfortable and supportive of good posture. The only concern I had is the plastic castors. We will see how that goes. For such a sturdy chair that seems off. Very pleased so far.
I hope this chair holds up longer than my previous chair, which probably was not manufactured for a man of my size. This one is rated at 350lbs so gives me room to grow. And should hold up! Also, I am treating this one better.
Edit much later, this one is great, holding up well. (I dont need a new chair .)
