The box was a little damaged on the corners when received. Some of the holes for the pieces were not aligning. There were a couple of scratch marks on the faces of the headboard and footboard upon opening (kind of disappointing considering that is the part that will be seen.)
Over all, very sturdy, was a little cautious reading the previous reviews but I think it is an absolute beautiful piece.
I have not put my bed on it yet to see how the bed fits. It took me about an hour to do, that is with distraction (and also trying to put the pieces that didnt match up, together.) I would definitely promote this frame, with the help of the people producing it to try to get the pieces to fit better.
