I did quite a bit of research when looking to by my long rifle gun safe. I reviewed all of the competition and read the customer reviews. The best safe on the market, at this price range is the Moutec. The combination lock is simple to use and works consistently. Quite frankly, I avoided a gun safe with biometrics. I currently own a pistol safe with biometrics and it is unstable. The Moutec gun safe is built well and has five locking bolts that keep the door safe secure. I did have one problem that was caused by the shipping company. Upon receipt and unboxing of my safe, I found a large dent in the safe frame that prevented the door from opening. I reached out to Allan at Moutec and he immediately sent me a new safe. The second safe was perfect. Allan offered me a door panel for the safe that can hold hand guns and other items. Not only am I impressed with the gun safe, I am equally impressed with the excellent level of customer service! If you are on the market for a long gun safe, by Moutec. You will be satisfied!
I am happy with the gun safe. Easy to use and set the lock. Did not need all the fancy bells and whistles, only have 5 guns and fits them very well. You do have to secure it, It comes with bolts to secure. I actually used my own set and bolted to set off metal lockers I have in basement. Wife didnt want guns in bedroom, go figure.
This product was exactly what I needed to secure my weapons when I am not home. I have grandchildren that visit when Im not at home so now I have no concerns about leaving my home. Its easily installed and secured to the wall and floor.... excellent product
Yes, the door is very heavy and the locking pins look heavy but the walls and back could be sawn through pretty easily. Its nice for my first safe but this is why youd want to physically shop and see this next to another one. Id have payed $250 more for the same size and stronger walls, back.

And easy to program code. Shipped fast with great packing and arrived in great shape. FedEx , however, left the 100lb package laying on the ground at the end of my driveway- 110 feet downhill from my house.

Fitting 6 long guns with optics will be a tetris problem. I squeezed 5 long guns in. Its deep enough to be useful. The 2nd lock box is usable for a couple of hand guns, but better for ammo. Im glad I bought this. I dont have kids.
Its a good value for what you get but there are some draw backs.
The Good: The additional mini compartment for other valuables is great. It adds another level of security for other items like cash, passports, jewelry, and other smaller items. The adjustable shelf is great so you can match it to the length of rifles you store below. Combo lock is simple to use and set up and the additional battery pack gives you a good back up in case the batteries die on you.
The Bad: The Safe came dented from shipping. I added a picture so you can see the dent. Im not sure if the dent lead to this problem but I wouldnt doubt it, but the door on the safe would not easily close or open! The bottom edge of the door dragged in and out of door jam. Very frustrating until I bolted it into the wall, but its still tough to open and close without using some force! The foam insert to rest the rifles came disfigured. The combo lock was a little temperamental trying to program it at first and was inconsistent accepting the combo, but it seemed to be fine towards the end.
Overall 2 Stars. The safe is a good value for what you get, easy to use and has some nice features. BUT the dent and the safe door that wont smoothly open or close, really killed it for me! I really needed a safe and was forced to keep it due to need, otherwise I would have asked for an exchange.

Great safe at its price point. The directions were a bit generic and I looked up online but it was easy to find. Would recommend
