Great bike , rides smooth, I added a bigger spring loaded seat to it . Takes a bit of adjusting cables to get brakes and shifting to perfect . Ive owned quite a few bikes in the past that were absolutely uncomfortable to ride and they always ended up as garage wall decor . Im not seeing that with this one. Its pretty light Ive only ridden it a few miles but I like it . As for the pedals falling off in the other reviews , the pedal arms are aluminum along with the pedal studs look to be also . I would not overtighten them. I can see it would be very easy to overtighten them and strip the threads right off . All in all I think its pretty good quality besides the aluminum pedal thing .
Bike delivered undamaged. Straight wheels. Minor tuning on the brakes and gears. Only issue is the giant knobby tires are slow and paper thin. Got a flat after 3 miles on a road Ive traveled over 100 on with high psi 700c road bike tires and never got a flat. For the price though, hanger mount derailleur, disc brakes internal cables, its good. Just get some new tires with it.
This was purchased for my daughters 10th birthday. We were extremely pleased when it arrived. So easy to assemble, the color was aming. It fit her perfectly. We did have to add a more cushiony seat to the bike, but other than that, it was total win. Just a note of caution: some of the brake wiring does stick out kinda far, and it is extremely sharp. It tends to be right in the way when dismounting the bike, and my daughter cut her thigh. However, it was easily fixed by just trimming the wire back. Just an FYIi totally recommend this bike. Its very sturdy, well made and should last a long 10 years or so.
I picked this up a while ago and have been able to take some good rides with it. The shifting feels smooth and suspension feels nice especially off road. Make sure you get the steel frame version as off roading can be hard on an aluminum frame. Seat is ok but I will probably end up getting a more comfortable one. But I like this bike and expect to be riding it for many more years to come.
