Bought this for my 8 year old and soon to be 2 year old. We went with stairs since the almost 2 year old gets up and climbs up in bed with the 8 year old. I love how deep the stair drawers are! They hold a lot. We use it to store blankets and dress up items. It was easy to put together and its very sturdy. Made out of much nicer wood than more expensive bunks we were looking at. Were very pleased with our purchase. We put it up 2 months ago and its still makes my girls happy!
Ive been eyeing this bunk bed for a year now, going back and forth on whether I should buy it or not but purchased for our boys bedroom.
Its VERY heavy, our poor FedEx driver had to bring five boxes to our front porch and I had to wait for my husband to come home to help me bring them inside. I would definitely suggest having help bringing them inside.
It took my husband the better part of an entire day to assemble and that wasnt including the drawers (still waiting for him to assemble those, haha). I will say it was worth the wait though, theres SO MUCH storage, its incredibky sturdy and our boys love it!
The only thing I wasnt a huge fan of was the stairs only secure to the bunk bed by the back top of the stairs, it would have been nice for them to secure to the bottom of the bunk bed itself as well. It doesnt affect the function of the bed and our boys are heavy enough for it to be a problem, Im just a worry wart.
I LOVE this bed. Its solid wood, sturdy, and all the storage it adds is just WONDERFUL. All the pieces are clearly labeled, and the instructions are good, making it fairly easy to put together. Its time consuming, but totally worth it. Looks very nice. My kids love it. They seemed to think of everything for safety. Lots of slats under the mattresses, and an extra support under the top bunk, anti slip tape on the stairs, rails, etc. Cant say enough about the storage. I was able to clear out my sons entire dresser, and put all his clothes in one of the drawers under the bed. Thats a feat, I promise. Im so, so, glad I bought this bed. You really cant beat it, especially for the price.
This bed is amazing! It took a bit for my husband to put together, maybe 3 hours. However, its worth it! Its sturdy and offers SO much storage. We have it for our two toddlers and Im sure we will get lots of use out of it these next few years.
This bed was a perfect present for our four-year-olds birthday. He is so excited to sleep on the top bunk. We love the storage and the sturdiness of the bed itself. However, it did come with flaws. One of the pieces of the drawers had a significant scratch and both of the under bed drawer fronts had flaws in the paint almost like scratches.
And just as a sidenote: Once you attach the steps to the main bed it is not easily slid because the only way it is anchored is just the back post. It should also be anchored in the front. We had to adjust the bed placement and the stairs quickly pulled away from the bed itself. So be careful!
The drawers do not go the entire length of the bed so in order to cover that I put up a make shift bedskirt to hide it.
Like other reviewers mentioned, it did take quite a bit of time to build. However, we built the bed itself on a Friday afternoon/evening so the little man could sleep in it. The drawers and steps were assembled the next morning and were done by naptime!
We have multiple pieces with niches on them but overall the product looks decent though we do not have any hardware nor an instruction manual and I have had the wood parts at my house for a week.
My husband and I bought this bed for our small girls as their first big beds. The directions were very clear and easy to follow, all the pieces were packaged and arrived intact, easy to put together and all the required hardware was included. All the extra storage is a wonderful plus as this allows their room to be as clutter free as possible. Our girls love their big beds and we often find them playing between the two beds instead of sleeping.
The one cons I can think of is a few of the boards split when we were screwing them into place. They didnt completely break apart but definitely cracked the wood. And the optional top rail is a little wiggly (nothing a few screws wouldnt be able to fix).

Heavy Duty Bunk

Seriously considering returning. You cant build it if you dont have hardware or instructions.
