I would not say its easy - but it is doable for two people to put this together in a few hours. When we did, we found that there was one missing part for the under-bed drawers. I contacted the customer service email and they responded by the next day - a couple of days later, the missing part arrived by FedEx air - and the bunk beds were complete. They are solid, with lots of storage space, which is super important for NYC apartments - highly recommended.
The assemble took about 5 hours but it was so worth it. They are very sturdy beds and the kids love them! We ordered 6 inch gel foam mattresses that worked really well. Its a little hard to make the beds but it would be difficult with any bunk beds.
It did take me a few hours to assemble, no major hiccups or missing pieces. I will say, my first order, only my half my shipments arrived (supposed to come in two separate shipments). But after a few days, I called and took care of everything and I got my new bed in less than a week (both shipments arrived on the same day).
I would not put a 300lb adult on here, but this bed will hold a human up to 200lbs well.
Make sure you get NO THICKER than a 6 mattress for the trundle bed. I have only a sheet on there and it is very tight.

This was easy to put together had one drilled hole on the top beam the latter connects to that was drilled right into the drill hole for the top head board so I had to create a new hole to drill the side in. Past that itsa great bed and I either lost some screws or they were missing and the bed places customer service sent out another ASAP. Has the screw hole not needed redone this would easily be 5 stars
We are very pleased with this purchase for the affordability, sturdiness and design. From reviewing many of the previous comments we were prepared for disappointments but feel otherwise. It is not the heaviest, sturdiest bed on the block, but we also did not pay for such a bed. And we live in Alaska and it arrived within one week! The assembly is a bit complicated but if you lay out all of the parts in matching piles and follow the pictures carefully in the order presented you should find success. My husband is a carpenter so we had the upper hand but that is exactly what he did. The unfortunate thing is that there are no written words to guide you, just drawings. But its doable with patience and even with our skills it takes quite a few hours. A power screwdriver is helpful too. We do not regret this decision. Good luck!

Solid Kids Bunk
This bunk is made well and am very pleased with it. My 5 and 3 years old love it and the staircase in a safer option than a ladder, in my opinion.

Lots of parts but worth the hassle
My kids love the bed very sturdy. Does have a lot of parts to awhile to put together but worth it.
