We have been looking for a bunk bed for months, and finally decided on this bed. We wanted a bed with both shelves and a staircase and this one had the perfect design. However, we are considering to return this bed, as 1) the material is of poor quality 2) paint stinks and gives us a headache even after a few weeks of assembling this (we assembled this during the Christmas holiday, and it stinks even today). 3) Our 4 year old broke her arm after falling from the bed.
When we did research we read through product descriptions, reviews, and we didnt see anywhere that it wasnt safe for someone younger than 6 to be on the upper bunk, as many reviews mentioned kids age 2 / 4, and from the height of this bed, it seems to be more for younger kids than the older kids. However when we finished assembling the bed, there was a sticker stating never allow a child under 6 years on upper bunk. We wish we had known that before purchasing and assembling the bed. We thought it might still be ok, as the bed is relatively low, and as there are many reviews from happy parents and their children, who are younger than 6. Bad choice for us, as our little one broke her arm and now in cast. So if you are reading this review, you know it may not be suitable for every childsadly.
As for the poor material, bed slat material is pinewood, but not solid like IKEAs bed slat. It is made of compressed wood and it feels just ok, but not very sturdy. Entire bed feels quite soft, not as hard, solid, sturdy as we want it to be. It arrived with few broken, cracked parts. As mentioned above, the paint stinks even after 2/3 weeks, and we are wondering if its safe to inhale this. We have wiped the bed clean several times, and it seems to get better a little but far from smell/free. Kids are super happy with the slide, but its rather steep with a very shallow frame and we worry they may fall over from the sides.
So for our experience and quality of the bed, our rating is 1 star. We like the design but thats about it.
However, the seller has been very kind and helpful, he went above and beyond to accommodate us. First we contacted the seller, inquiring if its possible to get the shipment earlier than later of the time frame shown on s delivery estimate time, since we are expecting another child and we need to move older kids before the next one comes. He was so accommodating and sent us the bed right away, way before the estimate (It had ETA Dec 30/Jan 7, but we have received the shipments Dec 19/22). We noticed broken parts when we started to assemble the bed, the box was undamaged, but few parts inside were cracked, so we contacted the seller again, and he was extremely helpful and sent us the replacement parts without delay. He is quick to respond, very helpful and amicable. We are very grateful and satisfied with how he handled our queries and requests. We would rate 5 for his customer service, or 10 if we can. So we will leave 3 stars. 1 for the quality of the bed and description not mentioning its not suitable for kids under 6, and 5 for his customer service.

Putting it together wasnt that hard and I was able to do it by myself in a few hours. However, I am a fairly handy person. The instructions were really clear so I think that anybody should be able to follow it.
The bed is really sturdy and doesnt wobble and most important, my kids love it.
The only issues I had were with the roof. In order to get the roof panels equally spaced youll have to figure that out on your own. There are no indicators of where to place each panel and how far apart they should be from each other. That would have been nice.
The other issue I had with the roof panels is the paint. In the box they all came stuck together almost as if they were placed in the box before the paint had fully dried. So when I took them apart the paint would be removed from some of the panels in a patchy pattern as shown in the picture. This affected more than half of the panels, so when placing them onto the bed I just had to make sure they werent visible. It would have been nice if they were packed with a thin sheet of paper between them. I tried contacting customer service regarding this issue, but I have not heard back from them as of yet.
Overall Im very happy with the bed and would still recommend it despite the issues I just described. I also wish I would have heard something from customer service even if it was just to acknowledge the issue.

Somethings may be labeled wrong, yes but if you lay everything out, you can compare the piece to the picture.

This bunk bed is GREAT, if you follow the instructions it is very simple to assemble. The wood is sturdy and feels solid.
I love it but there were two issues.
One, the bottom of the slide is too rough/high and the kids got their bottoms hurt while landing, so we had to add some cushion to prevent that from happening.
Second issue were the bed base (the wood that holds the mattress) they are very few of them and not sanded, seller should really add more wood sticks and sand it off because my husband and I got chipped various times.
My daughter has wanted a bunk bed for a while.
The slide won this decision, along with price and other reviews. Cousins love it as well! Recommend highly

Great bed! My grandson loves his big boy bed. It is sturdy enough for an adult to lay down on the bed as well.
