I bought this for my daughters room to save space. I put this together by myself in about 2.5 hrs (would of been quicker but my toddler wanted to help me). It has been up for about two months and still have no complaints. I am an adult female woman and I have climbed the ladder and laid on the bed, it was not wobbly at all like I had feared so I know its sturdy enough for my 6 year old. As for storage, my toddler sleeps underneath in her toddler bed and theres still room to put a short dresser or toy box.
I bought this bed after reading all the great reviews and glad to know they were all correct !! This was very easy to put together. I read a few reviews that said it was difficult and had a few issues but for us that was not the case it took about 2 in a half hours and we did not have any problems putting it together we did not tighten are screws till the very end we went around and tightened them all !! My son is 5. He can not stand underneath but its great storage to place toy box and loose toys! As you can see his mattress is thick so I added the bed rail on side so he doesnt roll off ( which Ive seen in other reviews too) over all I love it and my son loves it great buy!!

Wait till end to tighten your screws

Not too tall
Granddaughter just loves this bed! So cheerful and not too high in her room. Can still have a mattress on floor and call it a bunk bed
