My son loves the height of this bed. It is quick to climb up on and he can hang out above or below. He has a small 10x9 room and it feels like it gives him a lot more space without visually closing in the room.
The bed arrived ahead of the scheduled delivery date. I was intimidated by the box and all of the pieces, but the instructions were so easy to follow. I was able to put the bed together, by myself. It took me about an hour and a half. Its really sturdy and looks great. My nephews are going to love it!
First off, nothing to add as far as visuals, the given product photos are good.
Assembly was a little challenging because I have no hardware experience and ended up putting it together when everyone was out (myself). If you have a second person it will greatly help during some parts.
I tried to take shortcuts but ended up undoing them because the instructions are absolutely correct.
Two negative things for me:
(1) Over all all the holes and parts ended up fitting well other than one plastic tab (out of like 100) which broke. There is a baggie of extra parts so no issue, we just used one from that baggie
(2) my bed did not come with any feet! I had every person in the house go through the box and bags and all the contents and none of us could find them. Later my construction brother came by and I had him tear all the cardboard cushions and there are absolutely no feet in my box. The box came whole and undamaged so I guess they forgot to put them in my box. I dont know if lack of the feet (as explained in the manual) will damage our carpet but time will tell.
Overall I would recommend this product based on my bad experiences with other products; with this bed: There were no permanent weird smells, I assembled the bed alone in about an hour, it appears to be easy to partially disassemble and transport if we move (it is not designed to fully unassemble (think take every single little part apart / it could be done), but is designed to take apart and move) the bed is a lot sturdier than I anticipated (based on the structure), all the parts were in perfect condition, no scratches or dents, the bed quality is exactly as described by the manufacturer, all the screw holes aligned almost perfectly / after everything was together everything tightened down all the way.
Its a pretty good bed. Love the space under it. Its not super high. Im 57 and it goes to about top of my chest. Lots of space under it.
Putting it together wasnt super terrible took about 2 hours for 2 adults. Thats with breaks and working slow though. Only problem was the top rails on the end pieces did not fit. Had to do a lot of pulling and basically ended up hammering the ends to get them to be small so its fit. I attached a picture. Happened on the head and foot ends. Im a little concerned with how the rails under the mattress will hold up. Theyre not super strong and you get plastic things to attach them together. Guess will see.
It seems pretty sturdy. Its metal and light really so you can imagine. It does lean or anything when on the ladder. The ladder hurts the feet though so Im going to find something to wrap the steps.
I would love this had it not came bent up couldnt assemble the ladder because one side was bent and couldnt be aligned with the screw hole. One rail is bent out of shape and one of the bars couldnt be attached to another because the hole was bent in had to take pliers and pull it out as best I could to get it to fit. Had to zip tie one side of the ladder

Bed is just as described. Sturdy and great for my 4 year olds first bed. Its not too high.

shipping wasnt more then a day maybe two and it came in a very manageable box easy to carry and assemble alone and im a 120lb woman lol
Best bed for your buck!
Got it for my 5 yr old she loves it. It could easily be used for a teenager. I lay up there with her just fine! Love this bed.
