Our 5yr old loves his new loft bed but the construction was a bit off. Some of the bolts couldnt screw in all the way because the hole was not cut into the metal all the way through so certain parts just dont have a screw in them. But the bed still holds up so far but for the price its perfect until we can get him something from a furniture store.
I purchased this bed for my nephew, he absolutely loves it! My sister and I put it together in about 30 minutes.

The bed itself is fine for a child, it seems sturdy enough as long as they arent jumping on it. It does make a lot of noise with the bars chattering when they are climbing on it or shifting around. I climbed on it to check the mattress out and it held me at 200 lbs (probably more than whats recommended) with my daughter who is 60 lbs and it held as it should. So I would feel fine with one or two kids up there.
It went together easy enough, but a couple of the steps require you to go back and loosen up the previous work so you can fit the parts together. Not a big deal, but it would save you a little bit of time if you put it all together loosely and then tighten everything down at the same time at the very end. (This is how you are supposed to assemble things, but I was in a rush).
The bed had several dents in it when received. The box had some damage at the end, but the dents were in the middle of the pieces, and there was one bent bar. I bent the bar back with no damage, and theres not much you can do about the dents. Im not taking the whole thing back apart to try and pack it back up to return it, so well just live with it the way it is. I believe the dents are just poor QC from manufacturing or that it was packed kinda poorly in the box and parts were just banging into each other.
Overall, I think this is a good bed for a child. It doesnt seem very sturdy, as an adult ( I am under the weight limit) I wouldnt feel comfortable climbing up and down, but its fine for the kids. It was fairly easy to assemble, but we did have some difficulty with the longer pieces. Overall, it works well for our daughter as she has a small room. She loves to play under it and has a blast in her cave
I cannot get over the quality of this item for this low price. I was expecting to return it. I am in LOVE with this item. I hope it is available in the future when my youngest gets older.
I read a ton of reviews saying that the bed made noise and such after some time. Maybe that depends upon the childs weight and activities? My son is small and thin and we have been using this bed for over a month and not a squeak. Also, did not have to retighten any pieces. I saw some reviews earlier that mentioned things coming loose early on.
I am not handy and this took me about 1.5 hours to put together. I love how much space is underneath. I have basically all of my sons toys underneath it and made it fun but convenient. My apartment had toys in every corner now my son had it all in one place. I also bought pool noodles as others showed in their pictures because it is safer. Particularly the ladder. Im a heavy woman and holy f/ trying to step on that ladder without a pool noodle felt like I could pop my plantar fascia.
My son would not stop co sleeping and since this bed appeared he is happy to go into his cool fort bed .
Its not as high up as a bunk bed and thats exactly what we was looking for. My grandson loves his new bed most days he has blankets rapped around and under bed is his fort

Perfect for my 8 year old. We made a gamer area with bean bags underneath. He loves it!
