Found a fix for the slide and now its perfect!

Upon putting together the bed everything looked perfect. It was sturdy and easy to put together and my daughter was so excited! But after the third time of her sobbing that she hurt her tailbone at the end of the slide me and my husband tried to figure out how to fix that. I saw other people post comments about the end of the slide but figured it wouldnt be that bad… It was pretty bad and she got pretty hurt. Anyways, to fix it we just flipped the bottom piece of the slide upside down and set a pillow at the end. Now she is obsessed and its perfect! I attached a few pictures for an example of what we did!

    Toddler loves it!

Toddler loves it! I was able to fit a soft queen mattress under for him to start sleeping on until he is old enough for the top bunk but during the day he loves using the slide, the steps and goes on the top bunk to read. Easy to assemble! I did it myself in two hours- it helps to identify and lay all screws out first. Overall very pleased with the bed and how unique it is. It does have a strong chemical smell- paint and wood? so I ran a purifier for a few days before letting my child sleep there.

    Wouldn't recommend.

We ordered two and returned one because this one doesn't work as expected and we have to assume the other one will be problematic as well, considering our experience and the reviews. Giving it two stars because it stands and for now it's fine, but only because we're doing work to improve where it's defective. Pros - Decent wood. - High railings. - Kid thinks it's great. Cons - More wobbly than expected. I thought there might be a little bit of movement but I'm surprised at the amount my very small kids can make it move. We'll be stopping by the hardware store to pick up materials to add a brace or three between the legs. - The ladder doesn't touch the ground unless someone is standing on it, no matter what we do with placement. We're picking up rubber feet to add to it so the ladder sits on the floor. Meh - You can see a lot of knots and wood grain through the paint. If you're looking for pure white, this ain't it. - As someone that's put a ton of furniture together and writes instructions for a living, I feel uniquely qualified to say these aren't THE worst instructions but they're definitely not clear in many parts either. We chose not to return it because that would require taking it apart and boxing it back up, and because we're at least handy enough to upgrade it a little to give it more longevity. But we're definitely returning the one we had still in a box for our younger kid. For more than $300, I wouldn't expect to have to build on our own braces or figure out a hack to make the ladder reach the floor, so I really can't recommend this.

    Looks good, kid loves it!

I assembled this in about 4 hours by myself but I was also watching Netflix…so it probably should have taken less time. The height is great and my 5 year old loves his new bed. Its a little wobbly if you give it a jolt…I might end up attaching some crossbars across the legs. Otherwise, great bed, Ive even slept in it with my son when he was sick and it didnt collapse! I had a few assembly hang ups, so Ill try to help you out in case you face the same issues. On page 8, you need to attach piece 10 (the side safety bars) to the bed using wooden dowels. This proved to be impossible if you dont loosen the headboard piece first. After I loosened all of those screws from the headboard, then I could easily attach the 10 pieces and then retighten the screws to the headboard. Page 11, you need to roll out and attach the mattress support. You need to line the holes up PERFECTLY. My suggestion is to very loosely screw in all the screws before tightening them. Even then, it was tough so I dont know if the screw holes were a little off, or if I was. Either way, this was frustrating. The rest of the assembly was pretty easy. It would have been MUCH easier with two people, but I dont need no man! Also, after the fact, I see the website suggests power tools. Normally DIY furniture discourages power tools because you may over tighten or strip the screws. I would have loved to use power tools, so if you have them, definitely use them.

    Good customer service

We ended up getting some bad screws. They sent us new ones very quickly. Happy with that. However the slide is so steep it sends kids crashing to the floor (its painful) so that dont get used much. So far like the rest of it. Seems sturdy

    Amazing for the price

The box came completely beaten so I was definitely skeptical at first. The packaging was outstanding not a single dent or break from shipping however I notice a few boreds had been altered poorly and painted over. Everything went together as it should no pieces missing. Overall with 2 people it took us about 2-3 hours to complete. I would probably recommend using the bigger screws for the latter and slide though, the latter ended up breaking off the bed where it was screwed in during moving the bed a foot over to the wall but its still fully functional and all parts are still fully secure and sturdy. For the money I paid I am fully satisfied and it exceeded my expectations and I would recommend this bed for any age kid. My son is 4 and absolutely loves it!

    Super simple assembly

The slide came cracked. The top piece where it attached to the bed. I didnt bother telling the company but the way it was packaged the piece cracked. I fixed it with wood glue and it doesnt bother the structure but still was cracked. You need 2 people to assemble but over all it went rather smoothly. The quality is very nice.

    Not the sturdiest frame

I had a professional put it together. It is not very sturdy. It wobbles. When my daughter becomes more than 50 lbs, I will not use the bed anymore.
