I think this could have been a great bed if my child were less interested in acrobatics. We purchased this bed less than a year ago and, unfortunately, we have to toss it due to how unsteady its become. The screw holes have widened due to my toddlers climbing and trapeze acts, so its very wobbly and unsafe. I think this is a great option for kiddos who arent determined little climbers or who need something on floor/level to prevent injuries from rolling out of a bed thats higher off the floor. My biggest qualm with this product is that the center/piece bowed almost immediately and that the materials as a whole seemed to deteriorate under pressure very quickly. I understand that this isnt designed for a super active child to just climb all over but also, it should have been able to survive a little more wear.
We have a 5 year old and a 1 year old. Right now we are using the top of the bunk as the play place for the 5 year olda tiny toys (we just added some painted plywood). Eventually theyll share a room with this bed. the great bed is cute and sturdy. It doesnt overwhelm their small room like I thought it would. I like that it can be faced either way.
The only con I have is that the bottom bed is really difficult to make, but thats not such a big deal.
It took hubby and I about half a day to put it together.
We ordered the twin over twin bunk. Its so aesthetically pleasing and seems to be decently sturdy. It took about 7 hours to assemble (with the help of two kids). The instructions werent complicated, but not super easy to follow either.
Our BIG PROBLEM is the slide. Its way steep. Like scary steep. We are trying to think of the best way to help it not be so dangerous. I would just remove it, but my kids are excited to have a slide. But they dont like going down unless we are standing there.
The other issue is that the drawers beneath dont really have anything to attach to. They have wheels on the bottom, but they arent actually attached to the great bed. So they go anywhere. Its annoying. I have a feeling I will just buy baskets or totes to slide under the great bed.
All in all, we love the great bed. Hate the slide, and not pleased with the storage drawers.
This bed is cute. There is just 1 issue. The piece of wood in the very middle of the great bed that is somehow supposed to support weight. You screw it in, but if you move the great bed the wood piece becomes cricked and now I feel like Im waiting for mattress to fall right in.

Probably not advised for super squirrelly kiddos

Very cute and easy to assemble
I stained the great bed before putting it together and my son loves it! It was very easy to assemble, I do wish it was a little bit more sturdy.
Good bed, terrible slide.

Little girl love
Our little girl loves this bed! A great transition from crib to bed.
Quick assembly.
I would have gave them a 5 star but one of the bolts was unusable and they did not supply any extra so I have to find a replacement.
Perfect
I absolutely love this bed. It was relatively easy to assemble room about 2 hrs for me to complete assembly unassisted. My daughter loves it.
Size and sturdiness
It worth the money, my daughter like the color and its better to use 8 matters, the sturdiness okay but they can make it stronger.
Kind of sturdy.
