The furniture is not the most comfortable or the highest quality furniture on the market, or is it the most expensive. If you need some chairs that will look nice and feel good when used, this is a great bargain. If you intend to abuse them I don;t think this is the right product for you.
I'm 5'3. The proportions of this chair have been hard to find, it is very comfortable for me. The chair part is excellently upholstered. The wood is pocked and has paint of a different color (peachy) on one leg. If you are really fussy about the finish, don't buy this. I decided to keep it because of the size. It has brown caps to cover the screw holes, but the holes are generally too large. I had to pound them in with a hammer. It was fairly easy to assemble, i did it in an evening. Good value.
If you keep the price in mind, this is a great piece. If you expect it to be just like a $5000 sofa, you will be disappointed. Easy to assemble, but you have to put the feet on, so you really needed two people to tip it. Like others said, it is super duper firm. I wouldnt want it for my family sofa that we use all day, every day. We have it in a room that we dont use much, so it will be fine for that. I have two cats and they dont seem interested in clawing it, so that was a relief.
