The bed definitely needs more than 1 person to put together. Myself and my 14 year old daughters put it together in about 4-5 hours with small breaks in between. The labels on the wood were hard to see to know what was what. Also, huge recommendations is to not screw in all slats, leave the last 2 or 3 on both top and bottom bunks open so the latter can be placed. Other than a few marks it is a great bed!
My daughter loves it! The only thing that was difficult when I put the bed together was the back safety rails. The instructions wants you to install them after you have screwed the frame together which I think is backwards.
Came with dents and scrapes. Even wood was chipped away. And the screw holes were either missing or not deep enough. Took over 7 hours yo assemble. Came in two boxes and bunk 2 and 3 were in separate boxes and headboard and rails were all mixed up. I should have bought the metal frame from for a 1/3 of the price. The wood screws keep getting loose and I dont feel its safe for my 6, 3 and 2 year old
It was slightly hard to put together but for the bed you get its completely worth it. The girls adore it and they are 5 and 3. Slide is pretty steep but they dont have any problem with it.
Bought after reading a review in Mommy Poppins. Very happy with it as is - did not add any extra slats like others did. Kids are happy! Slide is a hit! Its better than our grownup bed and it can hold adult weight so I almost want one for myself!
when i first opened the boxes for this bunk bed (it came in 2 boxes) i was overwhelmed, and cracked open some white claws. (the ease of putting it together actually blew me away, and the white claws were a bit overkill in retrospect.) i was skeptical on how sturdy it would be, because i have 3 boys; an 11 year old, 8 year old, and 3 year old. i also have a 6 year old step-daughter, and they are collectively the reasons we cannot have nice things. this bed has held up nicely, and the kids absolutely love it. with the amount of times this bed has been used in intense games of the floor is lava i am confident i have gotten my moneys worth. just buy the bed, you wont regret it.

Great low bunk bed for our kids
We ordered the low bunk bed, and it has been great so far. It is sturdy, and we like having it lower to the ground.
Kids loved it!
It was quite a chore to assemble but worth it to see the kids loving it.
