I was pleasantly and very surprised by the chair. I bought it because of the very reasonable price figuring that if it was a bust I wasnt out several hundred dollars for an Adirondack chair. The chair is made of hemlock and the pieces were cut and milled very well. The instructions were very clear with illustrations so anyone who was handy in the least could follow them. The finished product, once I finished, was attractive and the folding feature works well. The chair is comfortable. All in all this was a winner all around. I ended up buying two more.
We all know the outrageous prices charged for adirondack chairs, so when I saw these, I bought 2. They are easy to assemble and they look terrific. You could sand it a bit and then treat with a clear coat or paint it. We found really comfy cushions at the company store so we are set! Love these! Love the price!
Love the chair. It was a little difficult to put together for me.There are no short cuts to assemble this chair you must follow the directions. The arms were missing the holes for the screws.
Assembly it wasnt so bad tricky Yes, sturdiness questionable, at the moment. We only had them for 2 weeks out on our patio and used 5 times, they do feel weak and the wood is definitely weak. We should see how long they last
I bought this chair for use on my patio. Not difficult to assemble, but the quality of the wood is not great. One of the backrest braces cracked when fastening a slat because the hole drilled for the screw was on the edge of a knot in the wood. I have contacted the company about replacing that piece, but its a month later and they have not responded. I may have to try to fashion a replacement piece on my own.
Took about an hour to assemble with 2 people. Directions were easy enough to follow, some of the pilot holes were hard to see or didnt match up but over all, came together nicely. Good quality for the price. Comfy to sit in. Used teak oil to bring out the color and keep it safe for outdoor use.
Ive tried to contact but thus might be a return because of missing the peg and screw to secure it
Update: got back to me two weeks later and sent the part. Could be a five star product if their quality control was better.
