Its pretty sturdy. We kept my old bed frames base ( blueish tan thing in the video) for extra support. my mattress was too tall so we removed the wheels but its easy to pull out without them so I havent had a problem yet
Overall, I really like this bed. It is perfect for my sons who share a room. In the past weve had bunk beds but this makes the room feel much more open. My only complaint is that the metal is harsh. Meaning, the edges and corners are sharp and if you have young wild children it is highly likely that they will jump or do something to hurt themselves. The metal has also quickly damaged our baseboards from rubbing against them, especially pulling out the trundle every day. Id recommend this bed for people with more gentle children then mine, ha.
We bought 2 of these beds for our basement bedroom. We have 4 grandaughters that love to sleep in the same room together when they visit. The beds are nice to look at and seem comfortable. I think they will be very pleased
A total space saver, I bought this for my boys. It was a little weird putting it together because everything is numbered and all the numbers go together. I wasnt use to that. After a few pieces I got a hang of it and finished both beds in about 45 minutes by myself. The price fluctuate a lot, about 50 difference sometimes. Keep an eye on the price and buy it when it goes to its lowest.
Got this hoping to slide an extra twin mattress underneath as well to store. Fits perfectly. Looks great. Super solid structure. Easy to assemble with two people, probably could do it yourself but would just need to use something to help prop things up a bit due to how it all fits together. Our mattress fits nicely on it, but it does not leave much room to tuck in the comforter on the sides. Doesnt bother me, but just a side note for it you plan on using a thick comforter with it and want it tucked in for more of a daybed look.
