We bought these loft beds for our grandchildren. I liked the fact that they were constructed out of pine wood and not just manufactured wood. They were extremely well packaged and arrived damage free.
I assembled them according to the manufacturers instructions, and this worked well.(I did try to use a drill driver once, but cracked one of the chest drawers backs.)
Some of the reviews mentioned a chemical smell, I did not encounter this problem and once the beds were assembled, the boys put them to use. Good quality product for the price we paid.
Easy to put together and very sturdy .
Only negative thing is the slide is to straight.
My 4 year old son went down twice and both times he got hurt hitting hard at the bottom.
Same thing with my 6 year old grandson.
The slide was the main reason I bought this bed. Now I wish I would have saved my money..
Any suggestions on making the slide safe and fun for the kiddos?
Disappointed mommy
The smell of painted wood only lasted a week or two, wasnt bad. My 15 year old sleeps on bottom and my 11 niece on top. No cracks so far (4 months in) and it looks very nice. I slept on it once and Im 225 pounds! Ups probably hates delivering this as the box was very heavy, it actually busted open when he half dropped it on our porch. You definitely need 2 people to put it together. Play some music and relax while you do so. Maybe have a juice box. Im a satisfied customer, thank you!
This bed was very easy to assemble, just make sure youre looking at the pictures closely. Took about 3 hours only because the M was mislabeled as N, the bottom support board for the full bunk needed more drilling (it wasnt deep enough for the screw to hit the bolt). My children absolutely love it!
The instructions were clear and all but 2 pieces were labeled correctly. I split the set up between 2 hour sessions. 2 hours to do the bottom and 2 hours to assemble the top. I was surprised that nothing was broken during shipping. This came to IN from CA in great shape. So far there has been 1 screw that has stripped but well just glue it back in place. Considering my 2 and 5 year olds are the ones sleeping in the bed, its holding up well and looks great.
Update - we had to nail glue all the screws on the rail of the top bunk. Theyve all wiggled loose and stripped the holes which is crazy because both kids prefer to share the bottom bunk and rarely go to the top.
First of all, yes, the parts do have a strong smell out of the box. You need to vent them outside for a couple of days, so plan ahead. I did this and had zero problems with smell after assembled indoors.
Some reviews mention bad assembly manual. Ive assembled several pieces of furniture and installation instructions for this bed are on par. If you can assemble , youll have no problems with this one.
Wonderful bed. Ordered an open box item and saved even more money. One part was damaged and the manufacturer quickly replaced the part with no hassle. Seems sturdy enough. I might add another cross beam on the top bunk, the mattress sags a little at one end, but thats to be expected at this price point.
Overall feels strong and durable just be patience with assembling procces and make sure you have an impact drill thia will make proccea a lot a lot easier just be gentle do not over tight the screws i used impact when to tight screws almost to end point and used an alen wrench (comes with kit) to finish procces

Dont buy it for the cute slide, you and your little one will be very disappointed!!

Pay attention to the pictures!

Kid love it
There are many screws... but easy to assemble.
Very solid and beautiful bed, with some caveats
