This bed with Trundle was easy to assemble. My husband had to make adjustments to the Trundle part you pull on to get the bed out. Sharpe corners on both ends had to be cut and sanded down. This would have been a big safety issue with our 2 year old. He also added a gate to the stairs and extra rails to the inside(because she still figured out a way to get up there with the gate) but that was just our choice to keep youngest off the top bunk. Overall dont regret purchase.
This is more of a topper. I decided to keep it to save me the hastle of trying to return it. I can still feel the bar through it and its not as wide as a Queen so all the framework of the shows on either side. Going to put on another bed as a topper then when needed for a guest I will switch to be a topper for the bed.
Ordered this to replace a 30 yr old fold out (so uncomfortable as to be unusable) for a otherwise in good shape. Much improved sleeping experience although we still use the under stiffener. Will see how it holds up over time.
Our guests gave great reviews after sleeping on this . You can feel the bed bars through it slightly, but there is not much you can do to avoid that when the has to be as thin as it does to fit in the . Overall, we are very happy with this purchase.

Great replacement for spring type bed es
Replaced existing spring type with this item. Holds up really well to the opening/closing of bed and very comfortable.
