My husband built this in about 3 hours by himself. These are for our 4 and5 yo kids. This will be their first time sleeping in their own bed so Im glad these are so low to the ground so if they fall it wont be such hard fall. Ill update my review after their first couple of nights. Very sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. Cant wait to see the look in their little faces!
Box wa sslightly damaged, therefore a few pieces were damaged, but nothing substantial that we couldnt still use. Those boards just dont look nice now.
Bed seems sturdy. Fairy simple to put together. Took 2 adults about 1.5 hours to assemble. What we liked about this bed was the weight rating is higher than regular bunks.
Picked this bed up for my 8 year old son last year (Christmas 2018) - He is still using the bed a year later and generally no complaints. It was easy to assemble, and has held up well to the wear, tear, and abuse of an 8 year old, his younger 6 year old brother, and his friends. My wife initially was concerned because its a bunk bed, however that wore of pretty quickly. My one relatively minor complaint is when I, as a 40s aged dad, need to get onto the top bunk to put on a new mattress sheet, I can feel the center of gravity of the whole thing start to think about tilting. I am around 200 lbs so for the kids it is definitely not an issue, however Id be leery of, say, 4 active boys having a slumber party all horsing around up there without reinforcing this to the wall, but thats maybe an extreme case. For the cost, and material quality, its held up just fine. We will keep this bed for a few more years for sure.
We bought this as a Christmas gift and waited to assemble closer to Christmas Day. The boards were fine, instructions good, but the fasteners were sub par. I spent an hour in the shop straightening bolts and fixing threads. Luckily I have the tools to do so. No extra hardware supplied. I feel like I should have inspected sooner.
We also took an extra step and added glue for each dowel. The bed is solid. I’m sure periodically tightening bolts is in my future.
There should be a foldable plywood panel to lay across the mattress slats, too. That’s not supplied so expect to buy n cut a panel to support the mattress of choice.
Overall we really like the bunk beds. It is nice to have them closer to the ground and more compact with the built in ladder. The twin mattresses we bought are a really tight fit though and make it super difficult to make the bed and make the upper guardrail practically non-existant since the mattress comes up so high. So make sure to get the right twin mattresses.

Sturdy and attractive twin loft bed.
Very sturdy and simple to assemble. Good for small rooms that require more storage or playing space. Highly recommended.
