This is an excellent set. It includes a combination mixer and diverter valve, rainfall shower head, handheld wand, hose, water through wand mount, and square shower head supply tube. All parts, including the shower head and wand are chrome plated steal; the valve body is brass.
The mixer is 1/2 straight threads and comes with 4 adapters to convert the straight thread to 1/2 tapered pipe thread (NPT).
It is nice to see a nice heavy well built item; most shower heads and wands are now plastic.
This is GORGEOUS! We did a master bath remodel and I searched various other sites to look for a chrome modern shower handle, separate handheld and larger rainfall shower head. The others didn't have the entire set, sold items separately or were overpriced. I keep coming back to to look at this particular one. I was a little leary, since it was not a well known brand. I read the reviews and the QandA section numerous times. We took a chance and purchased it. We had a professional plumber come out to install this. I read some of the comments to him, from the reviewers on here, to ensure that he doesn't miss a thing. Since we had the shower demo'd to the studs, he was able to read the instructions and make sure the Nipple is out far enough, to account for the durock and the width of the actual tile that we were installing. I have attached pics so you can see what it looked like before, during and after. This is beautiful! Note: I always wipe down all of the chrome after showering or cleaning, so there are no water spots. I use a very soft terry cloth and no harsh cleansers. I usually use a little white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. It shines like new, when you take care of it. 5 STARS!
TIPS: Downfalls:
1: Our water does not get HOT enough. I think there is a mechanism in there that prevents the water from getting too hot, our plumber could not locate it, after it was installed. I would have your plumber look for it before installing it!
2: You cannot use the rainfall shower head and the handheld at the same time. It's one or the other. This was a disappointment, as we like to shower together when we are in a rush. He'll use one and I'd use the other. But you cannot use the both together with this.
3: People have stated that the hot water and cold water are reversed. This is how it works...When the plumber installs it, per installation directions, everything IS correct. When you go to take a shower, look at the handle lever, how it is positioned. It is vertical, (facing up and down). We turned it the way we thought it should go, the top of the handle going towards the hot. Don't direct the handle using the top portion. Use the bottom of the handle to face it to the temperature that you want. It's the bottom of the handle that needs to point towards the temperature you need, not the top of the handle. Then you will get the correct temp. We are thinking of buying a little red dot sticker, to put on the bottom of the handle, so you would then know that the bottom of the handle, going towards the H, (Hot) will be hot. Hope this helps.
PS the seller also sends you an email with installation tips. The english is a little broken, but you can figure it out.
Install instructions contain the worst english and as such, leave much to be desired. The measurments are all metric. My installers (both plumber and tiler) struggled through the instructions and the end result was that the valve was set too deep into the wall. I researched the internet and found on YouTube a video of an extension for this valve. I contacted the company and asked where I could buy this valve and they replied that there wasn't an extension for the valve. I guess my eyes deceived me! I would not recommend this valve due to poor install instructions and apparently uninformed customer service. I will now have to destruct part of the wall again and see what avenues of repair are available to me. BUY American!
It is both beautiful and well made. The hot and cold are backwards according to what we are accustomed to in the US. Instead of the top of the handle dictating the temperature, with this, you go by the direction the BOTTOM of the handle is pointing. It was wrapped and packages well. My plumber stated it is high quality compared to the average shower system you see in the U.S I highly recommend this.
Very good product, but as others have said, make sure you use a lot of teflon tape when installing. As far as the manufacturer goes, they are located in China and I had several questions on the installation and their response was incredibly fast. I recommend them 100%.
I was afraid this product wasnt what we were expecting, but honestly it was better. The quality is good. We will install in a few month when our house is ready, so I can not talk abot the installation or function till that time.
Great shower good pressure and nice looking for my new shower. I received an email from the seller after purchase to advise me that this shower is for new construction or remodel . Fortunately my project was a remodel so it worked perfectly . We really like the rainfall shower. I think the seller should advertise the fact the shower is for new construction and not follow up with an email. Otherwise this shower is great.
So far so good !... It looks great and works as well as it looks !...it seemed to be made well judging by the feel and weight of it and the rain head has pretty good pressure and the hand spray is really strong !...Worth every penny...
