It was purchsed for a college apt. Arrived a few days later than anticipated. Arrived in 2 heavy boxes and took 3 hrs to assemble, engineering seniors. But it is solid and storage is fantastic. A partial disassemble will be required to extricate it from the3rd story apt with narrow hallway and a couple of turns. Will service grad school well next year.
I wanted a bed frame that fit a twin xl mattress and had storage, and this is perfect! I love the dark espresso color too. The drawers are very nice and slide easily, which I LOVE
Bought two of these beds for my son and stepsons bedroom, they really like that they each have their own separate storage space, and I like that they can have dresser drawers without crowding their 12x10 bedroom!
One little snag, ripping the tape off the wood panels pulled paint off so be gentle (I included a photo).
I will start off by saying the bed is beautiful and better than what I expected. The only negative was that the main frame bar didnt last a year before breaking in half. The customer service was great though and they were very understanding! They replaced the bar for us immediately after sending pictures and given all the details needed. Im still very happy with the bed even though the quality of the metal bars are not the greatest, you get what you pay for. I gave it 4 stars only because of the problem with the bar breaking. For their customer service and warranty I give 5 stars. I hope it will last us a while longer.

Here are some tips that might help in considering the purchase of this bed platform as well as guidance regarding methods of assembly:
- DONT buy this unit if you do not have experience putting furniture together
- DONT use power tools to assemble (try to use only the tools provided and your fingers)
- DONT overtighten or overdrive hardware parts into wood pieces (stop when it is snug)
- DONT tighten hardware all the way in all steps (leave some wiggle room and finish tightening at the very end)
- DO take your time to assemble (If I raced to get this done in 2 hours I probably would have had problems; instead I took my time and spent almost 4 hours to finish it)
- DO have another person help you move and shift the large platform into place as it nears completion
- DO assemble the platform in the same room where it will be used (avoid carrying it from room to room)

Sturdy and good value
It was a bit of work to assemble, but not difficult to figure out. The bed is sturdy and has lots of storage. My kids love them!
