Oh, what a humbling experience this year has been! I am 48 and in the process of reconstructing my college dorm room. Down to brass tax .
The good:
The couch is relatively light (can be moved by two full/time people on SSDI without death ensuing)
Its inexpensive (but you know that)
It takes all of 15 minutes to put together even through the fog/he of the medication. In this sense, it knocks Ikea out of the park going, going gone
Two people can sit on it without the risk of pregnancy
Aesthetically, the photo is a fair representation. The whole modern look doesnt cross over into total self/parody given my living situation. More on this below.
The Bad
/ Whoever invented waterboarding deemed this worthy of sleeping on. The cushions are firm / very firm. Theyre also uneven. Someone could crash on it in a pinch, also, a memory foam mattress cover would take the edge off enough for a long weekend. Unless youre looking to lose friends and alienate people, Id suggest relegating this to Plan B so far as sleep arrangements are concerned. Oh, and at 6 1, your feet will hang off the end.
/ Back to the looks. Kay, you get what you pay for. The black material is visible on the underside (slightly exposed front view) and is the fabric on the back. This goes against the wall. Not surprising, but to confirm.
/ If this lasts 2 years, Id be happy. Seriously. Had I the means, I would have spent 400 on something similar but more durable / I hate throwing money away. Ive had it for only a few days, and its working out, but as I was putting it together it was evident that the wrong person plopping down on it (or pushing on the back too hard) would likely end it. So, Im limited to physically fit friends. Ho hum.
Not sure:
/ I dont mind that it is as firm as it is. I do hope it holds up, but time will tell. I would recommend getting a pillow or something for lumbar support, as that is where it is seriously lacking.
Bottom line: If youre on a REALLY tight budget as am I, this is the best youre going to do for under 200. Thats my sense, and I spent WAY more time checking out couches prior to getting this. My sense is that the next price point is the 400 range, then 800 or so. Had I the , I would have spend 450 for something more durable and a little more comfortable However, this appears to fit the bill for now
The sofa works great in my office. Worth the price. Not something I would sleep on but works well for sitting on for an hour or so. Very firm and sturdy. It shipped all in one big box but it was light enough for one adult to pick up and move around easily.
Honestly this was better then I expected. It folds in half and has a storage compartment under the seat for the legs. Super easy storage and is sturdy/ comfortable I only wish it didnt break in so fast.
Much better quality than I was expecting for this price point. Well made frame and material. Not comfortable enough for daily use (way too hard), but as an occasion use guest bed very pleased.
I love the look of this product. We got it for a downstairs rec room to have for seating and backup guest bed. It certainly is not anything you are going to want to sit on for a long time but it does the job.
Setup was easy. The legs came in a zip up section underneath the base. Convenient for sending it to us but also a great nook to hide away a set of sheets for a quick transformation into a sleeper for a guest!
the sofas look very nice in my studio
I bought a king size 3 memory foam and a king size 2 fiber topper to make sure my guests sleep comfortably in this
Im obsessed with this couch! It fit perfectly in my studio apartment. The material is soft. Its not super super comfortable to sit on for HOURS. But its a couch and its still decent for a futon sofa. I used it as a bed which is super easy to turn into when my nephew sleeps over. I mean for kids to sleep on its okay but for adults I dont thjnk it would be as comfortable. Maybe just one adult only. This is mainly being used as my couch and I love it its perfedt for my small temporary home.

Nice little couch
Nice little couch! Havent slept on it but Im sure my guests wont complain. It feels comfortable to sit in and it looks more expensive than it is.
Worth the price for office use.

Does the job. No frills necessary
