We transitioned right from a crib to this with my 3 year old son (who is a rule foler for sure.) he loves this bed! It took my father and husband 4 hours to put together. There were a few screws missing but overall it was about as advertised. We are very happy with this. My son is too short to get on the top bunk using the ladder but thats perfect for us. he sleeps on the bottom bunk.
Bought these beds for our twin grandsons, for their room at our . Love the color, true Navy . My husband and I were able to put them both together in about 2 and a half hours. The first one took much longer than the second one. The directions are all pictures. I have experienced worse directions, these were okay. It would have helped a lot if there had been stickers indicating front and back for the head board and foot boards, and if the stickers had been easier to remove. The stickers leave a residue and dont come off easily. The only other issue we had is the the wood is obviously spray painted and it is a very thin coat, more like a stain than a paint. You can see the wood color in some places and on the foot boards, if you are really up close. It is not that big of a deal to us though, we can always paint them again ourselves, if we need to later. The hardware and frames are great quality and craftsmanship. I really like that any exposed hardware is painted the same color, so you dont really notice it at all. The space height under the bed is11 3/4 tall and 75 long between the legs. We bought 10 twin size mattresses, when the mattress is on the frame there is about a total of 1 extra room on the side (1/2 on each side) and about 2 total of room on the ends (1 on each end). If the paint had been a better coating this would be a five star review. Very happy with our purchase.
Nicely built, solid and pretty. But if you dont assemble bunk beds for a living be prepared for unbelievable amount of frustration and set aside at least 3 hours, even with help. Step 1. Get (patient) help, preferably an Egyptologist who can decipher hieroglyphics because all you get is a picture book instructions. Pyramids have been built faster than it took us to assemble this prebuilt bed. 2. Separate parts and hardware in distinct piles. Dont lose any hardware because theyre not easily replaced. 3. Pay special attention to L and R or you will be redoing your work. Be prepared to throw every ounce of mental energy into putting the longer set of slats in place. (1 at a time in sequence or the slats will continuously fall out. The shorter set is easier.) 4. Have food on hand because it will take much longer than expected and when youre finally done, you will celebrate. Too bad theres no more beds to assemble.
I was prepared for wobblyness. This is solid well built great addition to my small craft room.
Really a great product.
Somewhat unclear instructions but I muddled through.
Bravo!! I bought this for my Granddaughters room and all I can say is I was impressed! Easy to build, fantastic instructions and sturdy! Plus it just looks great! Oh I must mention I got it in 3 days! I was going to have to wait until December or later to get a basic bed from our local furniture store.
