If youre reasonably handy, you can put this unit together in a couple of hours. A second
pair of hands will ease the operation, but I did it myself. Be warned: the instructions are
rudimentary, with drawings but no written instructions at all. At least the pieces are
numbered, but top/bottom, left/right arrows would have been nice. Ive done a number
of Sauder pieces in the past, so am familiar with the cam/lock fasteners, which this uses
along with screws. Most of the pre/drilled holes line up well//if you get the piece the right
way up, lol. Some ballast on the bottom shelf will help steady the unit as the top is
raised. Wish it had non/skid feet; the whole unit tends to slide around on my vinyl flooring.
From the pics it doesnt look very sturdy or thick but it definitely is. Once I got the pieces out the box I was kinda impressed actually at the quality for the price. I was expecting cheap composite wood but this thing is solid. My husband is 250lbs and stood on it afterwards and it didnt even know he was there. Very sturdy little table. And the springs are strong also so when its opened you dont have to worry about setting something on it and it closing on you. Highly recommend
The table looks great. It is smaller than I expected and its very light weight The hinges/springs on the top part that lifts are so tight the whole table comes off the floor. We have to put our feet on the bottom shelf to hold the table down while lifting the top. Also you have to hold it in the middle otherwise the top tries to lift more on one end than the other and gets all cockeyed.
The instructions are very hard to understand. It takes a long time to assemble this. Even with the this is numbered you can still accidentally assemble this incorrectly. It took me a long time to assemble is about four hours.

Worth the money but Assembly was awful
Great for small spaces but assembly was difficult and took forever, you definitely need more than 2 people to put this table together.
