This little couch was surprisingly comfortable, easy to assemble, and looks really good. Its like a slightly bigger loveseat. So you probably cant sleep overnight on it but a good size for a smaller apartment or living room.
Assembly was this easy: The two sides of the sofa have slots in the bottom/ you slide the legs in, secure with bolts/washers, and then everything else literally clicks into place like one of those steel bedframes. It makes this VERY easy to move if needed, heck you could take it apart and put it in your car. So unlike IKEA furniture that once its assembled, its ASSEMBLED and woe to the man who dares try to make it easier to transport/ this little sofa could easily travel or move around.
The material is soft and looks good. I cannot yet attest to stain repellant as I like it too much to dump anything on it but I think some Scotchgard on it and itd hold up well.
5 stars! Very sturdy and durable
I wasnt expecting this to be such a nice couch at this price but its awesome! I love that you can get furniture in box now rather than having to angle, maneuver and argue over how to get an assembled piece through the front door. This sofa comes well packaged with all the parts labeled. Assembly was easy. I put it together myself in about 15 minutes. Its very comfortable with padding in all the right places. Im 59 and I could sleep on it if I wanted to, but I prefer to just sit and stretch my legs out. I really like that there is velcro on the cushions. They stay in place well but are easy to remove when you vacuum. The fabric is comfortable and durable snd I love the cool gray. Im going to scotch guard it since I have a toddler and then I wont have to worry about it being ruined. This sofa works really well in my family room where we already have a large couch but wanted some additional seating but didnt want to crowd the room. It would do equally well in a small area where you want a comfortable couch without sacrificing a lot of space. This is my first experience with this brand and Im impressed. Such a comfortable, quality sofa at this price is unbeatable. truly easy to install
Beautiful color! Easy to assemble. Firmer than I expected but it has springs so Im hoping it will break in with time. The only bad thing was there was a strong chemical like odor as soon as I opened it. It even woke me up in the middle of the night and I had to air out my apartment. Not sure if it was the dye or if they use heavy chemicals dont like that at all Perfect for us
I bought this couch right when it came out and it was 100 less but even for this price its a steal!
The couch was so easy to assemble and it looks and feels luxurious.
Its honestly so comfortable you can sleep on it.
Highly recommend Product was just as descriproduct
If you rent, move around a lot, or like to move furniture around, youll be happy with this sofa. I put it together in less than 15 minutes and the majority of those 15 minutes were spent putting the feet on and tightening them down once the couch was assembled. If I need to move it, I am positive I can break it down to its individual pieces in less than 5 minutes and reassemble it just as fast. Its still expanding its shape from the seat cushions being vacuum packed for shipping but its a comfortable yet firm feel to it. I am sure it will break in quite nicely. Ill update this review once its broken in. The color is definitely deep teal rather than green but the color is stunning. Well made. Good price.
Lets be honest, the 500 couch budget doesnt offer the world for choices. No one would deny the options are much greater at 3x the budget. So when youre in this price range, you want something thats actually made DECENTLY. You (like me) dont have the budget for a 2500 hand/made Amish Oak couch. So our hard earned dough has to be put to something that has some quality and might last.
Short short version / you cant put your 500 on a better couch in my opinion. Period.
Long version. I had a horrible futon in my basement man cave. To say it didnt compliment my movie poster collection is an understatement. Beyond the aesthetics, it was horribly uncomfortable and quite worn. Perhaps even bent a little. I got this, called my friend to pick up his new (quite used) futon and got him to help me carry this into the basement.
Assembly was a breeze. So easy that the back portion that you slide into the 2 arms recommends doing it with 2 people, yet I had no problem getting it to go in while holding the back with one hand and guiding the end with my other and opening up the arms ever so slightly. Had no problem it went right in. So it recommends 2 people for this assembly step, but I found it extremely simple by myself.
The only thing of note in the assembly was during unboxing I noticed one of the cushions was vacuum sealed and the other wasnt, so the 1 cushion has a little wrinkle to it from being vacuum sealed and the other one does not. I have no doubt this will work itself out in a few days by itself, but if it doesnt I would imagine an iron on low heat would work to smooth it out a bit.
The bottom frame has a center support, which makes it feel solid and you dont get any sink when you sit in the middle. Super nice. The cushions are all velcro/attached, which is nice in one way in that your cushions wont ever slide around on you, but then, if you stain one, theres no flipping it. Dont stain it!
Aesthetics wise, I have the grey version, and its beautiful. But I honestly wouldnt hesitate to get the green as well, as I find that color equally if not more attractive. The legs are very solid and dont wiggle or wobble. Comfort is.frankly GREAT for a couch in this price range. Heck, its darn good for a 2500 couch. Its stiff, without feeling CHEAP stiff, if that makes any sense? Very supportive, yet comfy enough to nap or sleep on, trust me no problem there, lol. Its wide enough for 3 people to have room, there were 3 of us guys on it last night hanging out, and we werent cramped. But size wise its actually just right, its not so small that 3 cant sit comfortably, but its not too large that its a monolith in the room either. Its hard to describe the perfect size, but to me, this is, actually, the perfect size. Im 59, give or take, and have no problem comfortably stretching out on it to watch tv. And, ahem, nap on it.
When I say this was an upgrade to an old futon, this was an UPGRADE from an old futon. And I couldnt be happier with this in any way, shape, or form. I know when you go hitting furniture row and see all the cookie cutter furniture on the cheap, most of what you see is pretty darn disappointing. And online, especially, youre taking a chance getting a couch without sitting on it, seeing it in person, ect. This one has not disappointed me at ALL. It has it where it counts, period. Build quality, aesthetics, comfort, size, and the fact you get all this and stay within your 500 budget? I dont hesitate to give a bad review when its deserved, and I dont hesitate to give a good one when its deserved either. This is every bit the best bang for the buck if you have 500 to put towards a couch. I cant fathom anyone being dis/satisfied with it, and I highly recommend it.
And I think it kicks you/know/what in my man cave. Its so pretty
This Tess sofa has a stylish look, and a classic sofa design, but its also very solid, and well made. Its comfortable, and it has plenty of padding too. I like the neat clean style, which while it looks traditional, its more on the modern side. The fabric is sort of a woven kind, and when one touches it, it feels silky. The gray color goes with nearly any decoration and colors. But the sofa needs to be assembled, and the assembling requires time and effort, but its not complicated. In summary, this Tess sofa is an excellent addition to any living room. Cute and good quality
Its literally perfect. The color, the feel, soft, cozy. Im 56 and can comfortably nap on it. Exceeded expectations. And Im a total couch snob. Well done, great delivery
This is a clean and modern looking sofa / that is just the right size for a smaller living room or apartment. The color is neutral, and the material somewhat slick feeling but comfortable. Assembly is quite easy. study and arrived as pictured!

Ideal for small spaces or to add extra seating without overcrowding your room

Great couch for the price
Very cute and sturdy! Love the green color and texture. I like the sturdiness and comfort of this product.
Weird smell
