Bought this for my older daughters and was surprised at how sturdy it was. I was expecting it to be more flimsy. My daughters were able to put it together in a few hours. Only problem we ran into was the center support bar has two holes and the bed end only has 1. Im hoping it holds, because it would be a pain to drill it. Easy assembly.
Great bed at a great price, sturdy, sleek clean lines, good height (not too high for 8 ceilings). The best thing about this bed are the FLAT ladder rungs. Anyone who has tried to climb a bunk bed on round ladder rungs will tell you that it really kills the feet, and flat rungs are a simple design improvement that makes all the difference. I dont even know why humanity has not evolved fast enough to eliminate all bunk beds with round ladder rungs / its that much of a no/brainer. I cant speak for wooden beds, but if you are considering a metal bed, do not buy one with round ladder rungs, and this frankly might be your only choice with flat ones. It is worth it for that alone.
The only negative about this bed is if you want to avoid days (and I mean days) of pain and agony and tears and meltdowns, pay very close attention to the holes in the diagrams in the instructions. My family members had to take the bed apart THREE times and start over from scratch because three times they ended up at the very end with the holes in the wrong direction, and fixing it meant disassembling the whole thing. Also the cross bars are a huge pain to put into the sideboards without them all falling out. My son called putting this bed together a modern day torture device. I think most of the pain could have been avoided, ahem, by reading the directions CLOSELY. So if youre the kind of person who just looks at the diagram and then thinks you know what to do and doesnt look at it again until you get to the end, you may find yourself undoing and redoing all the steps multiple times. But if you survive the assembly, its a really nice bed. Love it!

I initially wrote a bad review because I was unaware that the product shipped in 2 separate boxes I thought I was missing pieces but it is straightened out it was a mistake on my part but I am pleased with the bed Works great.
This was a great buy. I am pleased with the quality and price. I was shorted a couple bolts, however when I emailed the company they shipped me what I needed. I would buy this bed again. Very durable.
I bought this bunkbed for my 41/2 year old son. What I love about this bed is the top rails are tall and sturdy. I have a 6 inch mattress on this but i think you could go 8. The ladder has wide pedals with a thick rubber overlay. Doesnt hurt bare feet to climb up! Bed is sturdy once put together! Although it does sway a bit on top if you are moving around but I think all metal bunks do this. Its VERY helpful to have and extra hand putting this together. I personally would have never got this together by myself. Very good value.
The bed is for my guest room so that a kid can sleep above and parents below. The assembly took about 3 hours with 2 people, but was not too difficult. You do need to pay attention to the right and left pieces as we had to switch a few around. Good sturdy bed. The only complaint is that the stickers labeling the pieces are on the protective bags and not the actual pieces. We had to figure a few out before we realized what was up. This works.
