The coffee grinder holds plenty of beans and has four grind settings. The operation is smooth and easy with some intermittent squeekiness when grinding. It might just be my specific grinder though which was easily remidied with a drop of oil. The coffee grind is consistent and makes good coffee.
I wore out my old wooden grinder, the kind with a little drawer, so I got this one. I have about 20 pounds of beans, maybe more, and this grinder grinds em up pretty fast. Chuck it into a cordless drill and see what happens (thats how I wore out my old one, fast). With ceramic choppers, I dont guess this one will leave metal shavings in your grounds when you electrify it. Im going to stick with just hand grinding whilst watching a flick or reading a book or browsing
I like it. Thanks.
Pretty straightforward and gets the job done. However, after using it for just a few minutes the crank started to squeak immensely. Very loud and annoying.
If youre looking at this grinder I assume youre looking for a portable grinder for use outdoors perhaps while backpacking, if this is the case this grinder is exactly what youre looking for, whether youre hiking, biking, camping, fishing, or any other number of outdoor activities that normally limit your access to gourmet coffee, but if youre like me and want access to a great cup of coffee regardless of where you are let me suggest you not only buy this grinder but also a Presse by Bobble, along with a small drawstring bag capable of holding your choice of beans, the grinder, and the Bobble Presse when not in use, the handle, lid and top plate of the grinder simply slide off making it easy to fill with your favorite beans but unfortunately that also makes it easy to loose or misplace these parts if your not careful, so I recommend placing the Presse and the Grinder in a bag or container of some sort when not in use, but when this grinder is filled to capacity it produces exactly enough ground coffee to fill the measuring cup on the Bobble Presse, the two work great together, almost as if they were designed to work with one another, but thanks to this coincidence you can enjoy gourmet coffee anywhere in the world with nothing more than some great Arabica beans, this grinder, hot water, and the Presse by Bobble no measuring cups or anything else are needed just the bare minimums.
Easy to use. Well made. Grind beans well. I like the two chambers it comes with to catch the grinds. The multiple grind settings and grounds are nice consistent size at each setting.
