Very happy with this bed. It was so easy to put together. Instructions were cleared. My 16 yrs old daugter put it together with little help from me. Product was easy to assemble and sturdy at a great value
Great bed! A little rickedy getting up, but I fit my l shaped desk under it and having 3 large desk spaces is super cool. The shelf and built in corkboard is also an added bonus!! Love this product
This frame has suited perfectly the needs of two twenty/somethings living in a downtown studio. Like many studios, ours featured a walk/in closet that we turned into our master bedroom. This frame fits so perfectly in the space that it almost seems custom built. Also, since its impossible for us to fall off the bed, weve used a 12 memory foam mattress. The bed is a tank. The 300lb weight limit is probably a liability thing. Sleeps myself, an Army veteran at 61 and 200 lbs, and my girlfriend at 511 and 150 lbs, and it really doesnt move at all unless youre climbing up or down. Which brings me to the only con: its quite uncomfortable to walk up and down the ladder with bare feet. There are sweet spots and gentle ways youll try out to get down this thing but it can be a little unforgiving. I wanged my knee, hard, the first night while getting down in a half/awake state. The solution we came up with is a craft foam cushion that we got in black from a local foam rubber plant. Cut and hot glued on the ladder steps, its much more comfortable on your toesies. We also found that an IKEA KNOPPARP loveseat fits perfectly in the loft space and even leaves room for a lamp, which we control via a remote switch. The box it came in was very small for something so large. It did fit in my car, sort of, and I know that because it arrived in town 4 days before the delivery date and I, impatient, went to pick it up. Ive attached a picture of that for reference too. Overall, very satisfied. Price is great, product is great, packaging was efficient. A+ item. solid build quality
Took 4 hours to put together. Seems sturdy and looks great. Only been up for 1 day, so I cant review anything regarding long term usage. I thought said the delivery men would bring it inside the door of the home, but they told me they could not cross threshold. This was disappointing. I did talk them into putting just inside the door since I was the only adult home at delivery time. Great product for the price
This bed is perfect for my *very* small room. Im 56 and I can *almost* stand up straight under it. It reaches just above my shoulders, so I need to bend my neck. I have standard 8 ceilings and I have about 3ish feet of head room, just enough to sit up straight and no hit my head. Assembly was very easy and the build quality is superb. If you are looking for a loft bed, this is the one. love love it
My 15 y/o old son purchased this with his Christmas money. He has the smallest bedroom in the house and wanted more floor space It arrived early / which created a lot of excitement when he got home from school that day! The next day, he pretty much put it together himself, with just a little help from my husband! He just loves it. It makes his room feel bigger and he likes doing his homework and playing video games in his little nook underneath the bed. My only complaint is that it seems a little unstable, but my husband assures me its sturdy. its perfect for my needs
Just as expected, for the price but it seems somewhat wiggly!! No matter how much u tighten the screws double check everything it still shakes more than you would expect!? It appears safe but had Id known I wouldve put out the extra for a wooden loft bed its pretty sturdy
We bought this bed for my (now) 15 year old boy (63 tall) and it is the envy of all of his friends. He has a small room 11x10 and it makes the most of the space. The ceiling is only 8 and he can lean up in bed / not a full sit but it doesnt seem to bother him. It is sturdy enough for him though you will have some shake while climbing up and down. I had a friend from a government safety agency check it out and he said it meets all the safety standards. You should periodically double check the screws to be sure they havent loosened.
My son used a strip of LED lights installed under the bed to help with the lighting issue (it is dark underneath) and we used 2 black plastic floor mats for his normal size desk chair to roll on so nearly the whole area under the bed is covered by the mats (the room is carpeted). The desk is a bit higher than normal so be sure you measure seat height when getting a desk chair to try to keep all things ergonomically correct. The desk is a bit narrow / we mounted his computer screen on the wall to free up space.
We also used some bed buddy trays attached to the side so he had a place to put bedside items. Further, at a home improvement store, you can find a remote control to control normal lamps etc so turning off light after getting into bed is a breeze.
We use full size sheets and comforter on top of his old mattress set in the frame. Since hes older, we did not worry about him rolling out/off the bed.
It did come in one large box that probably weighs close to 100 pounds. If the bedroom is upstairs, two people will have to carry the box because its awkward. You do want to assemble the bed in the room its going into. With the size of our room, we made sure everything else was removed as we assembled the bed. It is slightly movable once assembled (to snug into a corner) but you wouldnt want to move it very far. I love this product
