I had great expectations for this loft/desk for my son because it solved a great deal of space issues for his room. First off you definitely need two people to set it up to make things go easy. Once finished it looked great and the full size mattress fit, but man is it a tight fit. My biggest concern was how sturdy this bed frame was and after reading another reviewer who stated it was rock solid with him and girlfriend on it I took a chance. It is not rock solid and does shake quite a bit when climbing up or moving once on top. So from the standpoint of being stable we were disappointed. Disappointed to the point we are still considering returning it. What they dont tell you in the description is you need to have feet made of steel. It hurts to climb up and down the ladder so I would suggest leave slippers on when climbing and put them at the end of the bed to climb down in the morning. Honestly if you are in a pinch for the price Id say get it, but in order to get a sturdy bed you need something with a thicker frame. Dont recommend this product.
I moved to a small efficiency apartment in NYC to be closer to my office. I need an office space in my apartment, but dont have the square footage. After looking at several photos of well/designed efficiency apartments, I saw several ideas that made sense to me. My building has plaster walls (and who knows whats back there), so I was limited to ideas that dont screw through the walls. I saw several photos online of loft bed designs that were similar to my decor goals.
Caveats for a lofted bed no matter the model
1) You are going to be at least 5 feed above the floor. This isnt a trivial height. It requires using either the built in ladders or a separate stand alone ladder to get into bed at night. If youre on medications, or go out for a night on the town, BE CAREFUL.
2) Make sure you have the head space for the bed first. If your ceilings are low, this is the WRONG choice for you. Banging your head or hand in the ceiling is not a good way to relax before going to sleep.
However, if you have the right kind of space, this is an absolutely awesome, stylish choice for an apartment.
The Abode Full/Size Loft Bed comes with a desk and two built in ladders. The box is HEAVY. So, delivery through was awesome! (Someone else had to haul it up 3 flights.) The bed and desk comes in a pretty tightly packed box, so it fits up old, pre/war stairways or in elevators.
The bed comes with a full set of instructions. I highly recommend reading all the instructions before starting the assembly process. Careful planning on the assembly greatly helped make this process easier than many flat pack assemblies. I recommend using your own tools if you can. While the bed comes with a small wrench, etc., I recommend investing in a small assembly toolkit / you and your hands will thank you.
After assembling the bed, I was able to install the desk and two shelves. Be careful not to over/tighten the screws. The screws are exactly the right length. Any more, and youll push through the surface!
What I like
/ Clear Instructions with the fasteners grouped for pre/assembly planning
/ frame is solid but not cry heavy.
/ Unique mattress box/spring idea using dozens of rods (very clever)
What I dont like
/ The ladders are very narrow / somewhat of a nuisance to get up and down if youre older than 10. I bought a separate black stand/alone ladder to use. It does have 2 built in ladders (one on the side and one at the foot) that are part of the supporting frame.
/ No adjustments for the top mattress rails. Youre stuck with the height it comes in. Not a big issue if youre aware of it up front. no regrets at all for this purchase
The bed in general is nice!
But its table is made of compressed paper (covered with plastic/like membrane) and damaged during transportation. Its a nice design though.
Easily doubled the usable room I had for my bed area. Love. It. Took a little to assemble, but was 100 a 1 person task of you gotta do it alone (with a little imaginative ingenuity). It is as pictured.
Got this bed for my 9 year old. He loves it. The bed itself is very sturdy and it was pretty easy to put together ( just time consuming on the bars on the bottom of the bed). Highly recommend! Perfect for what I needed!!
I like this bed but When the bed arrived at my home, I checked the pieces and It was not complete but when I call for a refund I could because I did not have the box that the bed came into. After when I assembled the bed, the bed move too much and sometimes I cannot sleep for that. Dont waste your time.

Make sure you have the head room for it!
Is a great room saver for my daughter and she is thrilled with it. Very economical and beautiful product
Kid again!
I LOVE my loft bed which allows me to have room for a cat condo under it for rescue purposes. Very good value for high quality.
Lofty expectations, but painfully disappointed.

A dent
I like the bed just a big dent not happy at all
One person job, and saves space, adds a desk and is all around pretty great.
