Ill start by saying Im the handy one in my marriage and Ive put together MANY items. The directions on this were some of the best-of course common sense and know how are essential in any assembly.
I put this together in just over an hour as a Mom of a 2 4 year old, who spent the majority of the time helping me. Had I not received any assistance I probably could have done this within an hour.
The bed seems sturdy enough for a child, but I would not trust it to hold my weight.
It looks great. Shiny pretty metal. And looks like it should have cost more than I paid.

It arrived in good condition so easy to put it together The bed is cute. Takes time to put together but very easy to complete. The only thing I would change on the bed is the ability to switch the side the ladder is on. It is unfortunate as the set up for our grand-kids room is that the ladder is on the same side as a wall. Would love to see the design change so the ladder can be swapped to the left side to accommodate the desk.
Updating the bedroom - what I thought would be a simple, quick process has turned into a two week+ project waiting to be finished. I ordered the bed on a Sunday and received it Friday, not a bad lead time. As I unpacked the box there were a number of pieces that the finish was scuffed, not quite an abrasion, just enough you cant buff it out. I really wanted to complete this project over a long weekend so I decided just to go with it. During assembly one of the 2 side rail pieces were torqued just enough they werent quite square when put together, again, I went with it. Then upon the last step, installing the slats they were no where to be found. The frame cant support a mattress without the slats, my project was going to go unfinished. I immediately submitted an order on the company website for missing parts, thinking why would they not be shipped at the very least 2nd day priority. Then I learned the missing parts were going to take longer to receive than the frame itself. Another long weekend left with an incomplete project and a room in disarray. With the number of issues I have had, A. I would have never ordered this or B. I would have immediately sent it back the first problem I ran into. Disappointed to say the least.
The loft bed was intended for our sons room since he has a very small living area. He is young enough to make the climb up the side and uses the shelving unit beneath for all of his creations and books. It would be perfect if he had a computer set up for it, but that is not what he really uses it for.
The product was quite heavy to move, and assembly was not quick, but then again, it is a large product. Our ceilings in our home are only seven feet, and this product fit in our home but did not leave an incredible amount of room up top. This bed frame came with all of the necessary hardware and instructions were clear. It feels sturdy but does shake a little as it was hard to get the metal to go flush with each other during assembly. The stairs are not the most comfortable to climb on, but we took some pool noodles and cut them down to fit over the ladder stairs which made climbing them more comfortable.
The price is a little higher than comparable items, but the value is worth it since he entire assembly is made from metal. The slats are easy to install and eliminate the need for a box spring. We are happy with this product and our son loves it!

Comfortable, and looks nice too. If you live in a building with no elevator and the box gets dropped off downstairs good luck bringing it upstairs. The box is SUPER heavy. The bed took 3 hours to put together with 1.5 people (my son passed me the pieces).
Overall I really like this bed. It fits nicely in my sons room and seems fairly sturdy. The only thing I would change about the bed (besides the time it took to put it together) is the width of the desk, it could be a few inches wider. A nice accessory or add-on feature to consider is a sliding keyboard shelf that attaches under the desk.
Make sure you measure your space before you purchase the bed.
Use caution getting up from a chair when sitting at the desk or you will hit your head.
You might want to have a pair of sturdy slippers on to go up and down the ladder. Your feet will definitely hurt.
Id definitely recommend this bed. Its good for making the most out of a small space
