First off, I kinda guessed that the color temp of the lights would be 5000k / 6500k which is that really sterile blue/ish light that, to me, is irritating on the eyes. Wish it would have been more of a soft white, around 2700k / 3000k like most soft white lightbulbs that give off a warmer tone that hints amber. Regardless of the color temp, the lights are more of an idea rather than being able to sit and play cards or really see others faces around the table at night. Better than nothing, but really could have stepped up the lighting bit to make it a stand alone solution. This is the reason for one star missing. Other than that, the quality build of the unit appears as strong or stronger than the similar units with no lights in big box home improvement stores at about half the price. Almost bought 2 still might. WARNING: the solar bit at the top is larger than the pole it sits on. Be careful to take the umbrella down when not in use so it doesnt tip break off the solar part. It appears to be brittle plastic that would shatter if tipped slammed down.
I purchased the 10 ft Solar LED Lighted Patio Umbrella w/Tilt Adjustment, Fade/Resistant Fabric / Red Sports color for 74.99. I read several reviews that were negative about the difficulty of assembly, the lights not working, and the easy break/ability of the pole structure. I have had the umbrella setup for 2 weeks now.
My experience:
1) It was as easy to assemble as could possibly be
2) I live in Tampa, and currently we are experiencing wind gusts upwards of 20 MPH. With the umbrella at fully open, it has withstood these gusts and not broken
3) The lights work seamlessly. The reviews and feedback referenced the need to remove something from the top of the umbrella, I did not have to do anything of the such, so Im not sure if they have corrected for this or if it never existed in the first place?
4) It was delivered a day earlier than initially indicated, which was only 4 calendar days delivered to my house for free (I have Prime, not sure if thats why I got free delivery?)
FINAL CONCLUSION:
This is a great value for the money. I have not experienced even a splinter of problems. I could not be more satisfied. I rarely write reviews, maybe a handful total, yet have purchased more than 100,000 on , inclusive of easily more than 1,000 purchases. There are two possibilities for the negative reviews:
1) The company has made modifications to correct for the concerns of previous purchases
2) The negative reviews are not true. For whatever the reason why they are written, they represent either a very different product experience than Ive had or the reviewers are not being truthful.
I hope this review as blunt and in your face as it is will be helpful to those debating if they should purchase this product.
Its awesome, the solar lights are bright enough to light my patio at night with just the right amount of light. The solar lights are a cool tone, wish they were a warm. That is my only suggestion for improvment for this product. It is well made, the on and off switch is awesome. I purchased it to replace a different umbrella and it fit perfect. Price is right. Overall a great umbrella and I am very happy with my purchase.

Perfect color gray
Havent had this one long enough to see about fading. Ive had other colors and they did fade. I do love the gray color of this one.
