The thin rope broke the second time I used it.
When the umbrella is open, the string rubs against the sharp end of the pole just before the umbrella due to movement.
I suggest placing some heavy duct tape around the rope and also cover the sharp edges of the pole.
I purchased the umbrella as a gift. They are truly enjoying the umbrella by the pool since they have no shade. It went together nicely and covers a good amount of area. Definitely be sure to purchase the weights to keep it safe and secure!
We first tried a pop up canopy and hated it. Then we ordered this and it’s great! Be prepared to anchor the base or do like we did and put a sandbag on it to weigh it down. Easy to put up and the lights are great! Solar power also means we can move this easily without worrying about an outlet or extension cord. Definitely recommend this! It completed our outdoor space.
Rain and. Wind lifted the umbrella from the stand under the deck table. Very disappointed. Enjoyed it for two weeks. Recommend it but maybe take it down completely in wind / rain.

The setup was easy. Everyone thinks its beautiful. Make sure you weigh the base down for windy days as it can topple.
