It is extremely counterbalanced heavy. It will take a heavy piece of 3/4 inch plywood base cut to size then screw to umbrella base then screwed to the wood floor of the pool deck.
Didn’t expect it to be so heavy . But it can be dealt with to enjoy the benefits

We love this patio umbrella, was easy to assemble and the lights are perfect for an evening around the pool.
Color
Great umbrella so far. Just the color is not as described it is darker than in pictures. The cover is even a different color fabric than the umbrella.
