complicated and time consuming to assemble

nice looking end result, but the directions were ridiculous...28 steps... took about 4.5 - 5 hours. many pages/images were tough to figure out the orientation of parts. it definitely wasnt worth the time. either spend money for someone to do it for you, or find another desk. as i said the end result is nice, but the compartment is not soft close, so watch those fingers!!

Like a few reviews I read

Like a few reviews I read, it did take me some time to assemble. And you think Ikea instructions are bad? A few spots where a better illustration and text could help expedite assembly. However, I love it otherwise. Roomy enough for a Mac and desk lamp and a few accessories.

It was a test of patience to assemble, but as long as you carefully follow instructions you will be fine. My only concern will be the maintenance of the desktop since it is basically coated paper wrapped around MDF.

    Great desk for the price

I’m not saying it’s the best desk out there. It’s kinda small, and not the sturdiest thing. However, I can say, for what you pay for, it’s pretty good. I love the built in wire channel in the back, with soft close hinges. Putting it together wasn’t too bad, either. The instructions are decent. If you have common sense, you’ll probably be ok. It would be a great desk if you don’t have a printer or anything that moves on it (3d printer specifically). Lateral movement does occur…

    Comically difficult to put together

Nice looking - comically difficult to put together - took 3.5 hours of straight work.

    Excellent value for the price!

First of all, I was expecting this thing to be a place holder until I had money for a “real” desk, but when it got here I was amazed by how heavy the box was. Upon building it I was impressed by the hardiness of the thing, it doesn’t shake or bend at all, and the materials are surprisingly attractive, especially given the price point. Assembly was, as expected, sort of a pain but it was nowhere near as bad as most of the “do it yourself” style furniture I’ve bought in the past. The storage compartment for power strips in the back is a super cool idea and the drawers are just big enough. I would highly recommend this product.

Stylish Desk, cal Assembly, Prompt Customer Service

The design on this desk is aesthetically pleasant, especially if it compliments other modern-type pieces. But construction and ease of assembly could be greatly improved. I consider myself a very patient and understanding person, but the assembly process for this desk is very involved and the instructions and diagrams could be revised for clarity and efficacy. When the box originally arrived, there was some minor damage to a few parts. I contacted the seller and they were quick to respond. Once my concern was correctly documented, they expedited replacement parts. Overall this desk gets an A for value and the customer service also gets an A as well, but be prepared to spend some quality interpretive time carefully assembling this desk or have some friends help. The final product is worth the effort!

    Great desk!

I love this desk, it’s cute and serves it as a good work station for working from home. My only complaint is that I wish it was a little higher. I like to cross my legs and sit Indian style which I can do but I need to put my chair super lower so my legs fit under the desk. That’s my fault though for not checking that dimension. Otherwise great purchase!
